i have a chart with the engine codes on it. i remember i used to have it printed out. i would take it with me places because people would always ask me about engine codes and hp and shit like that. i'll see if there's any i dont have.
theres a few on there i didnt have. and i think theres a few i have that they didnt. i think i'll revise my chart. i'll pretty much make it like they have sectioned into the letter series at the title part. and i didnt have the tq ratings. this will be pretty helpful........ yes this should be a sticky or FAQ.
Bump
nice find mike. hey got a question for yall, i know what vtec does, but wat's i-vtec? same concept? did they find a better cam for their new vtec or something?
its more enviromentally friendly, and more economical
As if Honda's weren't...haha. That's cool though, I never new about that. Was the i-VTEC exclusive to any cars? Or what?
hmm i see it in alot of the new models, si civics, accords. doesn't celicas have some i-ttec or some crap?
cool..
i posted a diff web site w/ EXACT SAME info in one of the performance or tech forums
i got a question, what the hell do people mean when they say they have a bs seires engine in their 3g?
Yeah, I was wondering that myself. I have no clue...anyone know?

People with 86 3g's say they have a BS or BT engine cause they do. That was the engine code in 86. Honda changed it to A20A1 and A20A3 in 87. They're the same thing just have a different code.
Ah. There we go then. Good deal man, thanks. I still don't know why Honda had to associate the acronym for bull shit into one of their engine codes.
kinda off topic, but did anyone see the Seinfield epidsode last night? in the monologue he talks bout cars (imports). "did you ever notice how car makers name their car? like integ-gra, does that mean integrity? or sup-pra, or impreza-ra. let's just hope it's not a lemon-na!!" i was cracking up.
those codes should be put in a post on here, then made a sticky. wouldn't have to go far to look up info on some engines. cross referencing them with direct fit to our cars would be cool. that would give an even better list of what can be basically dropped in without redoing mounting brackets.
