have you tried bug and tar remover? You'll also have to worry about the holes that are left behind from the Accord badge on the back.
I used sticker remover and a blow dryer to get the rest of the glue off, all though it didn't really matter since when the holes were filled that area was sanded down.
3m makes a adhesive remover for badges ans pin striping and such. I've seen it at a few auto parts stores and walmart used to carry it. Its 6 bucks a bottle or so. Another option is that goo gone or whatever that citrus stuff is. Go look at walmart or whatnot its over in the housing stuff near the paints I believe
Yeah im gonna get those holes filled it, but not for a while so ill go with the spray's. Thanks
lighter fluid. hahaha
haha
try goo gone, it worked when i took off my LX badge.
actually, ligher fluid does work really well. worked to get nasty ass stick goo off my friends windshield when we didnt have anything else. before they made the sticky stuff removers, i used to use lighter fluid. my grandma was the one who told me to do that, old hill billy secrets or something. lol.
100% correct!Quote:

PS> Even though you do plan on filling the holes, b/c you're not doing it right away, I would highly suggest going to home depot and getting a few plastic plugs for the holes for now b/c if water gets in there it'll rust out that trunk lid mighty quick.
use wd-40 and use your nail to pick it away, never use razor blade... been there done that shit, dumb... end up repainting...
yeah i was gonna suggest a razor blade also but i havent tried it on paint, only glass.
oh and i have a question. i want to remove all the badges off the back that i can, but my problem is, which ones dont have holes behind them? dont some just stick on. i wanna rip off the sticky ones and leave the ones with holes on. do you know which ones have holes and which dont? thanks.
The ones that say Honda or Accord on the rear lid have 2 holes each. The one in the lower right corner is the one without holes.
DON'T use a razor blade. Do you guys even care about your paint job? Just put some elbow grease into the stuff while using goo gone.
If you use a scraper use a plastic one but be careful not to scuff the paint.
hmm, whts the best way to mold those holes up? can you do it from the backside?
Here's the best way to do it.

I can't even remember how many times this has come up. There's even body filling and body repair tips and how-to's in the HOW-TO and FAQ Sections.
