Choke issue.
Ok, I searched and couldn't seem to find the answer I was looking for so here we go with another dreaded choke thread.
What happened in the beginning was that the choke puller was not operating. I had T'd into another vacuum source and it did still work, just not the way that it should set up properly.
I just had Thermovalve A replaced and removed my little T-in. Once again the choke puller doesn't pull even with the new thermovalve.
My mean time solution has been to advance the choke heater/spring as far as it will go so that the choke is always open just a shade when its cold. Unfortunate side effects are that I now have too little choke to make starting a simple turn key affair. I must sit there with my foot ever so slightly on the gas and becomming my own fast idle. I also don't think I'm doing that spring any favours since it now springs to open when its warm, lol...
Soo, my question is, where does Thermovalve A get its vacuum from? It seems pretty obvious to me that its not passing anything along to the puller so the problem has to be before it.
I have to add that the choke puller will indeed move, but only if you apply vacuum from something else.
As a side note, I have another choke assembly that I was thinking of swapping, but the lower screw on the front of the carb below the puller is kind of akward to get at. Any suggestions for removing that?
Any help is greatly appreciated as I'm really starting to get to the end of my rope with this carb.

Choke Puler (CP) is getting vacuum from intake through CP bracket and an internal carb passage! U may remove the CP two screw and look at the lil hole in the bracket, careful there is a O ring there.
So thermovalve A is getting vacuum from CP! Proly u got a vacuum leak at one of the line that plugs to CP.

yeah I remember in the manial they say to use a small drill bit to clean the vacuum passage on the choke puller...

Due to the weather here, I'm going to have to make due as is for now.
Is it possible for it to be an intermittent issue if something is indeed blocking the passage way from the puller to the carb. I've never actually caught it doing it, but even when I had the vacuum by-passed the puller operation seemed hit or miss.
It will probably be a while, but I will definitely update with any further news.
