HVAC blower motor

Ok, when i slide the selector switch for the blower motor, the radio looses power and both dont work. when i move the selector switch to off, the radio comes back on. Any clues?

wow i am having the same problem on a vehicle (87 lxi 4dr) i'm working on. I still can't find the problem. I've changed the control, resistor, and even unplugged the radio. I've checked the fuses, and most all wires that go to it.

the slider cable isn't hitting any wires on the radio is it?
It's a pretty big mess behing the dash, maybe a connection is loose... is it the stock radio or did you install an aftermarket one?

it is a aftermarket radio, will check that stuff under that dash.
