Typical shock question

Heya 3geez peeps! I cant seem to put together all the info ive been seeing on the forums. OK, I want springs, not coilovers, and i read something about how the springrate is different front to back... less in the back(right?) Wellthen, what is the best setup i can get?! Im in to auto X and circut type tracks, so i want stiff and responsive. Probably 1.5 drop or a little bit more. WHAT SPRINGS ARE THE BEST AND WHAT SHOCKS ARE THE BEST FOR THEM AND MY 1986 ACCORD LXI HATCHBACK. Include where i can get them too please. PLEASE HELP. I want a race suspention that i can drive on the street bacicly. THANK YOU! Brandon

also remember...size of rim and tire choice makes a big impact on suspension also. You don't want to get a car with stiff suspension and the tires can't handle it and all you will be doing is sliding all over the place because of loss of traction.

Why are you set against coilovers? With them you can corner balance the car to get more consistent handling between left and right turns.

you're gonna have a hard time finding decent struts for your car. Koni can revalve any shock to your specs, but you can expect to pay a pretty penny for that.

im not totally against coilovers. Ive had them in the past on two cars, they were really loud, popping and squeeking. They're nice, but i just wish there was a COMPLETE coilover suspension for us 3geez. The aftermarket for these aparently have dissapeared compared to my 93 civic hatch (R.I.P.). Oh yeah... revalving...will koni only do that to their shocks or could they do it for any. I cant even find any konis for my 86 hatch anywhere. Say i get coilovers, which ones are best for my car? I have heard Ground controll and koni are great with eachother. BTW. When they come out, im getting the 15 by 7 konig rewind. Right now they only have 14 by 7 , that size would be awsome and all but the offset is no good for a FWD car. Thanks.
