Are there two kinds of Konis for our car?

I just notice this when I was looking at Eric's W cardomain page..

His front konis have seperate spring perches

The one I have has perches welded onto the strut housing. (sorry only pic of the konis i have)

Is there a big difference between the two? I just was curious and thought I point it out to see if anyone knew anything more about it.

Mine are separate perches as well...

Mine are separate too. Did you buy yours used? Maybe whoever had them before welded them on or maybe the shop did when they installed them (if you had a shop do it).

I bought them for a member off here. I think it was "Site"

But yes, there's actually two kind of koni's. They made koni yellow struts a long time ago for the accord too.

I find it strange that the one I have has spring perches welded on and it has been painted too? Strange i'll see if i can get more pics later.

apparently, even my dad says the perches were like the ones I have. He said the original konis we had on our car had perches welded to the front struts. I guess there are two different versions...

nevermind.
