helping a friend with 89 civic
his auto transmission is shifting at about 3.5k rpm instead of the
usual (which should be quite low)
wht is causing this? i checked the tranny fluid..it's okie
i've got no experience in auto trans

Probably the TV cable adjustment. Thats what it was on my 88 civic when it had weird shifts
look for the throttle valve cable that comes off the tb and heads to the tranny. This should be out of adjustment.
