Help!! No Headlights!

OK, I go out to my car the other day, and all of a sudden, my headlights don't work. So, i try my brights, and the right one comes on.... GRR... so i had to drive with ONE headlight on, a bright one at that.

Anywho, I checked the fuses, and i found that when i put in a good fuse for the left bright light, it blows as soon as i turn on the bright lights.

I don't know where to start...

maybe be the wires being schaffed from opening and closing over its life time.

Ok... so how would i go about fixing it? the wires look like they are in pretty good shape. Do i have to strip the wires and then extend the area where the wire is still good and then resolder it to the plug?

anyone??? these need repaired TONIGHT! please help me :D
