I thought maybe I can get a center console for my car. But of course they don't make em for our cars so I was curious. Has anyone made or moded a center console to fit on the 3g? And how well did it turn out?

center console like qwhat? They had models with a tape holder infront of the shifter or a cupholder in the same location. If you want an armrest there out there also. I think theres plenty of options myself
Center console? There are tape holders (you can throw all your crap in there since we don't use tapes anymore) and armrests with storage underneath. Generally you'll pay a pretty penny for em though.
The tape holder I had in my car... it just has storage, no extra goodies (you can sort of see it in this pic):
