pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
i grabed this t25 off ebay. its from a 2g eclipse. its for a small a20 turbo build. i really know nothinng about turbos so i dont mind my first one being small. dont plan on going over 12 psi or reving past 6k so this one will do. i am gonna build my own manifold. if anyone comes accross a 1g dsm bov or like some 330 injectors (or what even numbewr is close) let me know, they must be cheep

An dsm gst smic will handle about 10-15 my buddy has one on what used to be a gs but its gsx now and he's at like 13 psi right now.
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
i am going with a small fmic, i seen them new for about $110-120
i am not really building this motor, just slaping on the turbo and having fun. if i run into more money ill build the a20 i have in my basement.
i am building (still gathering parts) a b20b for my hatch, i have a b18a that is going in the hatch before the b20 to get everything ready while i am building up. '
for future projects i have a d16z6, d16y5, and a d15b in my basement. ill prob take the 3 and make a nice oem mini me
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
thats about the size i was looking for when i wanted a fmic but i think it would be even better for people not see the intercooler and have a stock dsm bov and it would be less piping and cutting and just seems easier....
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
this gives me hope. i didnt think that we could use a turbo that came in stock cars. cool.....my hunt begins!

Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!

Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
yeah i just started reading on htm and im overwhelmed with the amount of informaion on this site. but i will do it.
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
I heard it's really difficult to turbo a carb. The question I have is it easier with the t25 or should I give up on the prospect?

You can turbo a carbed engine? News to me...
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
Good luck with your project.....I'd just buy a 50 dollar turbo and rebuild it......bang new turbo 4 under 200 bucks
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
And stay away from ballbearing turbos you cant rebuild them (well you can but $$$$$$$)

There are two ways to turbo a carb... they are not as easy as efi.
If you blow thru you have to pressurize the fuel and carb properly.
If you draw thru you have to make sure you have the correct turbo with the carbon seal? to keep from sucking up oil out the turbo when the throttle of the carb closes.
Draw thru can cause carb icing, which will cause the throttle to stick open.
Draw thru does not offer the use of an intercooler.
Re: pppsssshhhhhtttttt!!!!!!!
Fuel Injections just better anyways....
98HP carb
120hp FI
you decide
