I just changed my brake pads and saw a wire connected to my caliper on the right side of the car. Ive noticed the wire before in my engine compartment and it kinda looked like an aftermarket half hearted attempt at installing it. I think it is some sort of a ground wire but idk

not that i know what it is, but would you possibley be able to get a picture of it? that sounds very interesting. i've never heard of something like that.
Is it just a solid color or does it have two colors (main and tracer)? Ground wires from the Honda factory are normally solid black. But that doesn't mean is is a Honda wire just because it's black.

the wire was a single wire wrapped with a mesh metal tube.
it was randomly zip tied in the engine compartment and then bolted to my caliper.
I uninstalled it but I will put it back for photo reasons.
