What's your opinions guys? Should I get drilled, slotted, or drilled & slotted rotors for my front brakes and will they actually improve braking?
I have Slotted/Dimpled on the front of my van and Slotted/Drilled on the back and it was a big improvement over the stock design. I'm very happy with how the van brakes under a full load. Don't know how much of an improvement it will make on the 3g unless you brake heavy over an extended period of time.

drilled rotors tend to crack from what ive read and dimpled rotors really are just the look of drilled without the cracking lol. i think youre better off getting some powerslot slotted rotors or just some brembo blanks. youre not going to go over 150mph so there really is no need to spend a shitload of money on brakes that are meant to be used in a drag strip. and if you buy the stuff from ebay youre probably going to end up paying more than you would getting them from an online store like nopi. why well because they will probably fail, warp, or crack and you'll have to get replacements.

i was gona ask the same question my pads are goin out so in a two weeks im buying new stopers need rotors and pads
All things being equal, I wonder if a ventilated rotor has a better chance of not warping than a regular solid disk. You can buy a Brembo solid for about 30 bucks, and the ventilated (which is much thicker) for about $37. I went to Brembo's because my previous rotors seemed to warp sooner, relatively speaking, than the rotors on my other cars. I thought that a name brand might be better. No such luck. After a year or so, I can feel the telltale vibrating, although it's not bad yet. Maybe the ventilated disks will resist longer? What do you guys think?
I have said many many times before on this site and others the Power Slot and AEM high performance pads work perfectly. They will stop you better then stock and they just look better. The AEM pads leave very little to no dust at all and they grab very well. I have had mine since August/September and they work wonderfuly. Every day I go down a very large hill that requires heavy breaking the entire way down, something that would cause alot of heat and stress for a normal setup. With the PS/AEM setup they dont fade and haven't warped yet.
Get the Power Slot rotors and AEM pads they are a great bang for teh buck and you will not be disapointed.
I AGREE WITH ZackieDarko. THE POWERSLOT ROTERS WITH THE AEM PADS ARE THE WAY TO GO!...I HAVE SOME MYSELF AND MAN WAS IT WORTH IT!. IT BREAKS PERFECTLY, LEAVES ALMOST NO DUST, THEY DONT HEAT UP ON HEAVY BREAKING LIKE STOCK, BUT WHAT I REALLY LIKED WAS THAT THE FIRST TIME I TESTED THEM ALL I HEARD WAS ONE SQUEAL AND THATS IT...SOME ROTTERS TAKE A LONG TIME TO ACTUALLY BREAK IN AND SQUEAL FOREVER...BUT NOT THESE...I LOVE THEM:)

where is the best place to buy the power slot/ aem setup, also im with hostile it sucks to read post in all caps
lol on ebay this guy has like a whole discription on how sloted brakes are like cheese graters and will cut your pad life. i haved used Napa and OEM honda parts and the honda are better. i did them like 3 years ago and i still need hella miles to go...i abuse my brakes and when it rains i locked up some times. well i might get thoes AEM pads on stock rotors...since now you can see the brake with my rims.

I have HPS pads on the front of the odyssey and they are super quiet, I have OEM pads on the back and they make a whirring sound and squeal a bit when I stop. Dunno if HPS is available for the 3g though. But like I said before, I dunno how much difference it's gonna make on the 3g since you probably are never carrying a heavy load or braking for a long time. Where I really see the difference is when I have 6-7 passenger load in the van and I have to brake down hill or somthing like that. All though over all they do stop better then the stock setup. I can lockup the antilock brakes for a second or two when I slam on it where as the stocks would never really allow me to lock the wheels up. Sorry I can't comment on the accord, my Se-i brakes were always more then enough stopping power for me.Quote:
