How do you suppose you will put the shift knob back on?
jb weld!!! heheh
Throw it hard and it will come off in your hand! The way I shortend yours is the only way to do it.
plus if you hacksaw that beast off, you'll get the "gangta lean"
hehe, i know i wasnt serious...Quote:

yeah mine does feel pretty solid!
I WANT ONE!!!
I don't know how hard the steel is on the shift lever, but you could use a die set to re-thread it. Although I consider doing it akin to cutting the factory springs, and I would never do it on my car, I am curious to find out how it goes.Quote:

Tje top half of the shift lever is a holow tube the threads would have to be at least 1/2" in diameter so that throws out the stock shift knob and most aftermarket knobs don't have a bushing that wide. Thue you could probably do the JB weld and tighten teh set screws to the point that the allen heads are ready to strip but I wouldn't sugest it. It will most likely still wobble loose.
When I put on a new boot I cut part of the threads off to fit the new handle well I got sick of it poping off and I screwed the old one back on it looks a lot better and still holds damn well I took off about 3/4 inch.
