Steps:
Remove the switch itself by unscrewing 4 bolts that hold it to the switch assembly.
1. After removing the switch, you should have this:

9. Optional: With the switch removed you are able to view the hazard light switch connections, clean them if you wish and grease them. Here is what they look like:

Then reassemble the switch. Match up the curved parts and it should snap back in. Then place the switch back into the combo switch and make sure all the linkages line up with the designated holes.
Notes: To clean the connections, i used 800grit sand paper.
Re: How to: Windshield Wiper Switch cleaning/rebuild
sticky for sure...im going to clean my spare one from my parts car and have it ready so if mine ever goes out i will just replace it
Re: How to: Windshield Wiper Switch cleaning/rebuild
That is why if my wiper switch goes out i would either have a full replacement or just fix that one because i already rebuilt the headlight switch. It would short my new lights out and smoke...:(
Re: How to: Windshield Wiper Switch cleaning/rebuild
COOL!
also for some reason my headlight motors and under hood fuse box smoke when the lights go up or down so i just disconected them
i dont think that would have anything to do with the switch tho =/ i think its my motors
Re: How to: Windshield Wiper Switch cleaning/rebuild
All the switch does is allow the electricity to flow from the power source to the relay/lights. So you problem is not the switch.
