Idle Air Control Valve hoses
Whoops...somehow I missed replacing the two hoses that plug into the IACV, and was rewarded the other night by a vertical stream of coolant that must have been going 4 feet in the air (once I raised the hood). The leak was in the shorter one (towards the battery side), which wasn't too bad to get to. The other one, however, is a U-shaped affair that appears to need me to disconnect a bunch of vacuum lines and other stuff to gain access, and I can't really see exactly where it goes.
Anyone have experience with this hose?
Re: Idle Air Control Valve hoses
When I replaced my IACV and my fast idle valve I had leakage out of the small coolant hoses on both. My solution was to replace the spring clamps with worm drive clamps - problem solved. If the hoses are in bad shape you will have to replace them, though.
