Nice parts! The motor looks good, nice work.
What size turbo is that? T3? What rods did you use with those pistons?
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread

T3 50trim. Pistions are sitting on Eagle H-beam rods(LS tegs)
Thx bobafett. hows your build treating you?
Port and polished head
Polished exhust
pacesetter ceramic coated header
UnorthodoxRacing Flywheel (less than 9lbs)
diamondracing pistons (9.2:1 CR)
eagle H-beam rods(LS Integra)
balanced smooth tip grind crank
Coltcam Stage 1 turbo cam
walbro 255lph (need to make a SSbraided quick connect fuel line)
1g DSM 450cc injectors
accel ss coil
Golden Eagle 440 Adjust-tru adjustable cam gear
B&M fuel regulator w./gauge
*OBDI swap & tuning to be finished within a week or so. I was going to go with AEM but right now i'm re-looking at the EMS to see what is better for a cheaper price and give me the gains i want. I don't want to have to pay the big $$$$. I know Bob you were looking at Crome and Turboeditor? This has been a long time in the making but it's all worth it to me.
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
very nice, lots of good projects popping up lately. Always loved your car man, your suspension looks clean enough to eat off of.
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
coming slowly and surely. hoping to finish up the engine management before the end of the year, and get it tuned na, then finish up fabbing the rest of the turbo parts by the beginning of race season next spring/summer. :)
This is great how many turbo accords we are starting to get!

I'm guessing its the dual stage intake with the top part of the plenum removed...
BTW... Glad to see your still around Mase... When I make it back to VA hopefully I've have my 3g done and we can finally meet up...
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
Yes , that's the top off of the intake. We just had it covered to protect it from dirt & dust. I'm gonna replace it anyway with another intake anyway. Sup jigga, how's it been up north. been doin' any racing, i'm still around. I'd be up for a meet.
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
Any specs on the pistons or an order number to reference? Since I'll be running the B18 rods also.
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
you do have the specs on my diamond order eric, don't you? if not lmk and i will dig up some info for you
Edit: Found it

im thinking of setting up some pistons from them also...10:1 compression or 11:1 with b-serries rods.
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
My job # was 20809. It may be some confusion on this cuz someone tried to mention the job # and it didn't come up. But if you get them from Diamond Just ask for Ron. Nice guy and very helpful
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
+1 Ron was one of the guys I worked with and he was great!
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
I just go a msg back from Robt's old AEM tuner and he just told me that if i'm not going over 11-12 psi to just use crome in which i wasn't going over 12 anyway. Told me the P72 can handle 11psi anyway. Why spend more than i have to Huh.
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
Hey bobafett, just went on the Pgmfi site and also honda-tech. Looks like a new sys is out the is better then crome....and that's coming from the maker of crome
www.eCtune.com
Off h-t

Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
yeah it you are running 12ish or less psi, crome or an equivalent would probably be totally adequate. :)
eCtune seems interesting, since it seems like its just a crome rip off lmao!

Their similar because the creator of Ectune helped make crome what it is now. Ectune looks like it will be a very nice program to tune with, I've been keeping up with it for a while now. Ectune is not currently released to the public but other than through an authorized tuner, but they just released ten copies for individuals to test and if all goes well it may be out by the end of the year. Ectune has lots of options that crome doesn't, I believe it will be worth looking at once its release if your considering buying crome pro.
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
nice what do u have to do to those rods to make them fit
Re: PROJECT: Mases upgades/buildup thread
Theres also neptune as far as tuning software.
good luck with the build and post pics. :)

I don't know where the thread is right now but i thing you have to go up in size on the wrist pins from 19mm to 21mm i believe.
Ectune is not fully out to the public yet but yes neptune is looking good to me right now becuase i was looking at it hard and it still looks comparable to ectune.

yes on the wrist pins, did you have the pistons made to match that? and i would go with chrome free + datalogging until ectune comes out. It would be a much easier transition when you get ectune.
