Custom cam gear... now a bit more custom
I got a custom gear off of eBay a year or three ago. Not a bad piece, little rough around the edges, but otherwise nice.
Looked like this:

I haven't had the chance to put it on the SE-i yet, but in the meantime I swapped out the outer bolts for good ol' 11mm six pointers... makes it easy to adjust and tighten. I also gave the gear itself a nice blasting and coating, then sent the center hub out to get a black anodize coating. All in all it came out nicely.

Purdy :) Can't wait to put that and my cam in the car.

Six slots, that one should never "slip"

Now put the damned thing on!

are there timing marks on it? it looks pretty sweet though.

Is that a stock outer cam gear converted to be adjustable with a custom center? Looks good

Re: Custom cam gear... now a bit more custom
I have no idea who originally made it. It's a true 3geez artifact whose origins are now lost to antiquity.
No unfortunately there are no timing marks. I am going to make a 0 degree mark before I install though. I know just about where that cam likes to be, so I am going to set it at that (~3 deg advance) and leave it at that. Before I blasted it and sent it to anodize, the hub was filled with little sharpie marks and writing :)
