Re: Fabricating new bumper
i dunno. I like the new concept, but IMO i'd rather see it keep the dip in the top of the bumper like you're old one had, and as stock on all hatchies, and 86-87's.

well yeah im planning to keep the top part of the bumper stock with the dip....but below that will me the new design.
Re: Fabricating new bumper
i agree with mark , the dip in the middle keeps the "stock" look , if you going to do something like that why not try making something like the mugen from bumper?
Re: Fabricating new bumper
I'd buy a bumper like your front one. It's badass. The new design is ok, but I like current setup. I can't figure that fiberglass crap out. plus nooone will sell me some damn foam, lol Keep up good work man

i would so be down for the new one with a dip
Re: Fabricating new bumper
If I still have my 3gee by the time this happens I would definitely consider getting one with the dip.
Re: Fabricating new bumper
I like the new concept. Anything like the xenon and mugen would look good.
Re: Fabricating new bumper
sign me up for one of the 1st prototype. id pay the better part of 450-500 shipped to me if it help you make me one. if the new designs flow with the angle of the gri;ll id prefer that one but since im turbo and the fmic needs space and air the 1st pic looks more feasable. just biuld one and sell it to me
Re: Fabricating new bumper
I like the second one minus the dip in the center.

word i think the dip flows much better with the car
Re: Fabricating new bumper
looks like you got that front bumpoer off a 3g prelude, :)
Re: Fabricating new bumper
The more I look at it. The more the dip grows on me. Maybe its just that Ive never had a Hatchie. Go for the dip.
Re: Fabricating new bumper
i like the dip.. but just out of curiosity.. if you were to make em then sell them.. how much would you sell them for?
thanks
sp.
Re: Fabricating new bumper
yeah i got the concept from a 3rd gen prelude but i will be building it from scratch and slightly modifiying it to fit the accord better. the only thing is it will eliminate the front bumper signals...and not sure what size rectangle would be best to fit some nice fogs...any suggestions?
Re: Fabricating new bumper
do you want clear ones or yellow ones?
Re: Fabricating new bumper
i say fogs with turn signals in them

Re: Fabricating new bumper
make it large enough to house the factory jdm flip tops for those of us that want them one day. that or just keep it as the bottom pic looks and try to get the lower airdams to point towards the brakes
Re: Fabricating new bumper
If not for the "dip" you could use bumpers off several other cars anyway.
I like the first one but without so much cow catcher. It will be a fun project regardless of the style though.
Re: Fabricating new bumper
is say for the foam mabye try the insulating foam used for the siding from houses , it would be a decent material to make a mold out of
Re: Fabricating new bumper
i like the top, newer design, but it's a bit too extreme for me
i'd like a more mild body kit, maybe just a really nice lip

i would need someone that actually has them to measure them so i can make the hole slightly bigger for them to fit right.
