just wondering if any other cars (like a 92-95 civic) lowering springs would work for my 89 coupe.
civic and integra parts are just so much easier to find and cheap where i am, and it would be great if i could just use suspension parts from a civic

00 civic coilovers worked for me
no modification? just interchanged them?
He just used plain old 88-00 civic coilovers from Dropzone.
cool. thanks, that makes finding good springs ALOT easier
you will need some tokico hp blus though
cause the stock struts will blow fats
also i had to add a 3" floor flange from home depot to make the rears sit right
These aren't just springs btw, they are adjustable coilovers like this:

yeah i wouldnt just get springs anyways. i wouldnt want the crazy bounce that i have now. i hate that. and i wanna be able to adjust the height
What is your current suspension setup? There's really a lot of coilovers out there for our cars. EF Civic(88-91) also are direct fit. Ground control makes sleeve-type coilovers for the 3rd gen as well.
Also just found out that there is a company making full bodied coilovers for our Accords, they're called LowBoyz and nobody has them yet.
Roach has a set of Skunk2s on his hatch.
well., i got stocks.. haha rollin fat.
right now im just rollin on stock suspension with heated springs. no dead coils cut off. its ghetto, but it was cheap when i was 16, lol.
im just lookin for a cheap set of coilovers. doesnt have to be anything crazy good quality, yet, but i wanna get rid of the bounce, have adjustable ride height, and lower it some more.
^^ go coilsleeves, best 30bucks you will ever spend lol
whats the difference between coil sleeves and coilovers?
90+ accord works, had them on my old coupe..
sleeves (like the pic codyJDM posted) slide over the strut and allow adjustability. they replace your springs. you can use pretty much any strut you like as long as the springs arent too stiff.
a full coilover has a threaded strut body and is made specifically for adjustments. they are a one piece unit that replaces the whole strut/spring setup.
still gona have a bounce but it will be stiff lol
Don't put that cheap shit on your car.
Lowering springs and aftermarket struts are a better bet.
i think im gonna try to get a pair of coilovers off my buddy. i think they are TEIN? hes got an EG civic (92-95). will they work?
dude if that shit works. let us know ASAP! If u decide on dropzone

It should work, geddy has civic coilovers on his Accord Tokicos
yea but those are the dropzones right? we know those'll fit forsure i wanna see if those teins will fit the 3g
