i can get one for $350 a full FI 89. would it be worth swapping in my dx? i know it would help when i go to do a b series swap. does it really improve power and be better then going weber. $25 more to go with the weber.

yup its worth it, especially if you wannt do a b-series swap in the future
yeah its worth it...but can u do it yourself?
Dude. i can do anything.
lol well i have just about every tool you can think of. ive done 2 b series swaps in ef civics. and ive taken this bitch apart like 300 times. so i dont think pulliing stuff off one car and putting it in mine will be that hard. If i do get it im going to take the engine out of that one and put it in mine. But when i get it out im going to take the power steering out. and clean and paint the engine bay. then i was going to just take the dash out to do the wiring.
Im going to shave the carbed head and sand blast it and rebuild it after i get the car runnin right. Then i was going to try my hand at porting it then throw a b16 intake mani on there. It all depends on if this fucker with the car will call me back. lol
oh yea btw do you need to have that charcoal canister? I ripped mine out cos it wasnt hooked up and didnt look important.
well you're gonna have to take out the dash and all the shit behind it to swap the loom & install fuel feed line anyway, unless you just make a stand alone loom from the other car & do something hory for the fuel line
son of a bitch i forgot about the gas tank and lines.
it can be done tho
Exactly what all is included?
C|
the entire car.
yeah do it and also upgrade to the obd1 so when you go turbo you will be able to tune it and have a reliable fast sleeper

if you want efi so much and got the patience, motivation, tools, skill & parts, then go for it, but if you lack any of those then it might pay not to unless you want it to be a long term project
weber 38 is cheaper easier and will get you to about the same hp numbers, and you dont need a laptop with softwere and soldering skillz to tune it
This might sound stupid, but why not sell you're current car and with the $350 you have to buy the other one find a nice, clean car that is already fuel injected?
I'm new to 3g's, so bear with me if that is silly sounding.
You guys make it sound like the EFI swap is complicated.
I made the entire swap in my uncle's barn with no electricity and a small 1/4 - 3/8 ratchet kit with a couple of swivel wrenches.
