the 2nd one was def not takin care of lol but it comes with the m/t
ill wait for the b20 guys to chime in they know more about them but by look they look right
but if its power your looking for jump on this
https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthrea...t=67310&page=3
thanks..........I agree the second one doesn't look like it was taken cared of well but, it comes with a lot more stuff that I wouldn't have to get separately unless if what comes with the our stock LXI's warrants not needing all that extra stuff.
So the first one looks better huh? condition wise that is
The one with less stuff will fit, the other one is from a 3rd gen prelude and won't fit.
Yes this is correct......In my personal opinion i would not buy a B20A without a 5speed for the fact that the transmissions are the hardest part to get. The price is alright but if you look around you can probably find a nice package deal that has everything you need. Piecing one together will typically cost you far more and 99% of the people will not seperate the motor and transmission for that fact.
From what i have read here on 3geez is that some of the 4th gen civic 5speed trans's will fit. Is this not true as I can go to the junkyard and find a bunch. OR is the trans as unique as the engines in terms of being the jdm version? Again, from what I have read it seems as though the trans is easier to find.
no the fourth gen civic five speed trans has nothing to do with a b-series at all... the trans is definitely unique to the motor. i don't even know where you would have begun to think that it was a possibility.
buy the mounts that tommy is having made then buy any b-series motor you like... like a b20 out of a crv and have aftermarket support as well as any number of amazing transmissions you can get your hands on.
the standard accord b20a g/box is the b2k5 which will be the easiest since it will be a bolt on.
is easier to find a g/box for an h22a than a b20a down here so would be looking for a package deal
talk to accordb20a as he seems to have no probs finding them, the tin arse bastard
yeah the first one is the one you want. get it, especially if you find a lead on a tranny. but see if you can't talk that price down to maybe half that unless that engine is guaranteed running.
swap it
Dick Head Racing's mounts plus a boosted LS.. You'll never regret it...10000x better than trying to find parts for that b20a
we seem to get the good bodies and thats bout it.
i've been lookin for a lip for mine for ages and a wrecker mate cant find one this side of chch.
i thought all bumpers had those little gay lips on the bottom of them. i think i should try sell my jdm lip for my 86 bumper, either that or try make it fit my 88 facelift one
