Re: February Accord of the Month - LX-incredible
man i missed the voting also, havent ever seen your car before, i must say it does look incredible, also nice to know a 2g accord rack fits the 3g, did you have to swap the subframe to make that fit?

Thanks.
88-00 Civic rear shock bushings, 2 sets of civic rear uca bushings (8-307) with the inner sleeves from the 90-97 Accord (8-312) for the LCAs. The ST bar and camber kit came with poly.
Possibly... Everything's solid right now, but a crvtec is going in one of my cars even if I have to buy another. I am still wanting to do something with an A motor just because. Well see what comes first.

The rack fits with the 3g brackets cut out and the 2g brackets welded in the 3g subframe. The tie rods/tie rod ends need to be extended 1" on each side. Steering effort isn't bad at all, one of the best mods I've done to the car.

sweet at least i know ti can be done, Im on the lookout for a 3g accord manual rack so i can ditch the PS and get more power from my engine

Re: February Accord of the Month - LX-incredible
Congrats man, that coupe is clean! Just wondering how much have you spent to date on your car?

From what I hear the rack is the same as the 2g. Be sure to grab the crossmember as well, or you'll still need to cut and weld the PS one.
If you have the ability, could you find out what's different
with the tie rods/ends on the 3g manual? Part numbers?
I see no problem with the average guy modifying the crossmember, but it takes a bit more skill to elongate the tie rod ends. I'm confident in my work, it would be nice to have a bolt on replacement though...
That engine bay gets so much more delicious once that crap is removed, easier to work on too.

instead of extending the tie rod ends did you try using a 3g accord "rack end" on the 2g accord rack, I suppose you know what im talking about, i wonder if they are shorter on the 2g....
