An 82 is a 2ndgen, you should post it in the 2geez section:)

Nobody has tried it yet. They might work. Some People on PreludePower use like 96 Accord coilover sleeves, and the 2g Prelude shares the rear suspension, so that might be a good place to start.

Don't buy the ground controls, do a test fit with some $20 eBay coilover kits.
Re: [Question] Will 1986 Ground Control Sleeve Coilovers work on an 1982 Accord?
uhm, does it matter what coilover kit on Ebay I get?
Re: [Question] Will 1986 Ground Control Sleeve Coilovers work on an 1982 Accord?
That's something you'll have to find out on your own I think. I've been meaning to do some experimenting for a while, but I just haven't been able to get to it. So you might be the first.

mmm, Mmmk, because I wanna drop my 82 Accord, and negative the camber in the back with some deep dish rims and get that Front bumper off Classicgarage.com and get some deflectors and stuff. heh, I was thinking about swapping a b16 or an h20? or h22 w/e it is the Prelude engine into it as well heh.
Re: [Question] Will 1986 Ground Control Sleeve Coilovers work on an 1982 Accord?
I've been meaning to machine off the spring perches from my strut tubes and weld on something I can thread on a coilover adjuster nut on to. After that, the upper mount needs attention as well to adapt to the smaller diameter of the coilover spring. In reality, our mac-struts are already a coilover in the strictest sense of the term, just a giant, nonadjustable, stupid looking coil over.
All that negative camber from lowering (lower you go, more neg camber you get) is going to be hell on tires. I was looking at solutions for that, as well.
I do encourage you to hack up a set of struts in the interest of more lowness. I would suggest maybe getting a set of cheapo struts off ebay or from the wreckers to experiment on, if it does go bad though.
Oh, and engine swaps on this chassis are a major nuisance. Don't ask how I know. Don't read any of my threads either, especially ones entitled "engine swaps" or "b20A 2g swap thread" or some garbage like that:kekeke:
Re: [Question] Will 1986 Ground Control Sleeve Coilovers work on an 1982 Accord?
Acutally, with a Mac Strut, as I recently found out, you will only add camber with lowering up to a certain point. Once the LCA and strut are at 90 degrees relative to eachother, they will actually being to lose camber again. So once you lower past a certain point on these cars, the wheels will actually come back into alignment. Maybe it's beyond what's physically do-able, but I thought it was interesting none the less.

Well, That's the thing , I dont really know what I need to lower the 1982 Accord HB, do I need new shocks? struts? springs? coils :|
EDIT:
Would these do for dropping my car?

Yes those will help with controlling shorter, stiffer springs. Plus you can get them revalved and rebuilt by Koni. They're pretty much the last strut you'll ever need for that car.
Re: [Question] Will 1986 Ground Control Sleeve Coilovers work on an 1982 Accord?
I just bought some cheapo Coilovers to try and place on my car, when they get here I'll post pics and progress of how I'm going to make them fit.
EDIT: besides I just realized that those Struts were catridges.
Re: [Question] Will 1986 Ground Control Sleeve Coilovers work on an 1982 Accord?
Yep, but the Konis will handle the higher spring rates much better. Your stock struts won't be able to handle those springs. Plus, once you gut the struts, you can weld the sleeves to the bodys and cut off that stock perch. That perch is so big, it actually will make things much harder for putting on wider wheels/tires. BTW, where are PICS of your car? :D
