What are some ways you would be able to tell if a cat isbad? I found a guy who's got a cat he's had for a month and is going to sell me it for 30. But I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off.

normally if they poo or piss inside the house that's bad, and when they eat your food without you knowing :D
Well, it's gotta look clean for one. The mesh part thing looks gross after a while.

Rattling is bad. You don't want it to rattle when you shift it around or bang on it lightly with a dead blow hammer. When you test it, are you going to be holding it in your hand or is it bolted to the car?

It'll be off the car... I knew about the shaking/rattling... And only some parts of Georgia are exempt from emmisions sadly mine is not
does your car have to pass the sniffer test?
The only way you can tell if the cat is worth buying, (visually) is to hold it up in light & see if you can see light through the honeycomb substructure in it. It needs to be clear all the way though.
lol if it's a cat in any condition it's worth more than 30 bucks to the scrappers. "If" it was a real Oem style cat. I don't know about generic replicas,but i've sold a few for 60 to metal scrappers
