Pacific Northwest Meet - Sep 29 - Portland, OR

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to start a new thread for the official Pacific Northwest Meet! The following is going to be our most excellent event schedule. Feel free to meet up at any time during the day. We will do our best to stick to this schedule!

10:00am-11:30am: Photoshoot at Clackamette Park, Oregon City

Cost: $0

12:00pm - 1:30pm: Lunch at Burgerville, Canyon Rd, Beaverton

Cost: $5-15

2:00pm - 4:30pm: Racing at SyKart, Tigard

Cost: $15/race + $2 for headsock if you need to use a helmet

5:30pm - 10:00pm: Late Night Drags @ Portland International Raceway
Cost: $27 to race, $9 to watch (I think you may need to pay for a number a well)

Basic Tech Requirements
Please note: If anybody here is faster than 13.99, you will need a helmet, and make sure your car is safe. No loose batteries, loose wheels, radiator overflow works, things like that.

We will try to stick to this schedule as best as we can, but if you want to double check where we are, please PM me BEFORE the meet. I will give you my phone number so that you can call to find out our location.

Please print off your own maps, and get all the addresses and bring them with you. Program everything into your GPS, whatever you may need to do to get yourself to these places. I can't wait up for people who may get caught at traffic lights between our locations. It's really hard when there is a long line of cars following eachother. Last couple of meets, we lost people between locations, and they didn't know where to go. That's why I'm laying the whole schedule out now.

Need help figuring out where a good place would be to meet up for a photoshoot! Any ideas?

The only thing I can remember from when I lived in Portland was Clackamette Park. I don't know the Tigard / Hillsboro area very well. It's a little ways from the lunch spot, but so is the race track... How's that look to you guys?

Thanks man! Lets try to get everybody motivated for this! It's gonna be another whoop ass meet for sure if we can get a bunch of people to come! Hey Rendon, are you on any of the 3geez Facebook groups? Can you link to this thread in there? That would be kick ass!

Count me in as of right now. Only thing holding me back is if work doesn't give me the days off. But 99.9% sure they will.

You guys are rad! The three of us can Caravan down to Portland. :) We can meet up in Tacoma or something.

Just waiting on passport renewal and then I should be good... They better hurry up with that.

I'm gonna be attending as I am already in Portland. Was curious if there are any locals out here that can help me with my car issue? Would love to attend the meet in my 1g. https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78705 I'm a photographer and will be there regardless if my car is fixed or not, so wash your cars. ;)

Can pay a local to help me out. It's an electrical thing...

I'm driving down from Maple Valley. And Hash Man is driving down from Canada! You can make it too!

yeah well idk ill see how my car runs after my head gasket replacement if it runs like new then ill try to make it down there lol

Hey i might be able to make it. If i dont work i will come. It will be a 3 hour drive which isnt bad but just hope the honda will make it.

Just make sure there is a good coin wash for us to go to because I am sure my car like others will be covered in bugs and such after a drive like that.

If you're gonna be photographing, do you know of a good spot we can meet up in the morning for the shoot? It would be awesome if you knew of even just a park or something. :)

w00t. Well I'm thinking about maybe cancelling the photoshoot part of this. It's damn early, and I have no idea where to go. What do you guys think? We can just photoshoot at or near the Burgerville!

I am going to try and make it to the photo shoot and or lunch. Will be nice to meet other 2g enthusiasts.
