need help finding some switches

I'm installing some power seats in an old benz, I want to make a switch panel for the seats, but I'm not sure what current rating to choose. The smaller the better I guess but I'd like to keep cost reasonable

I think I need a DPDT (double pole double throw) momentary switch

I'd like to order something like this:
5pcs 6 Pin Toggle DPDT ON OFF ON Momentary Switch 15A 250V-in Other Switches from Electrical Equipment & Supplies on Aliexpress.com

It's going in an 80's Mercedes 300cd so I think this style switch would blend in, but something with a nicer looking lever would be cool

Any suggestions for a reputable online supplier?

I need 8 DPDT momentary switches (4 per seat) and 2 matching SPST (single pole single throw) for the seat heaters

You really need relays, to make this work right, ill send. You a basic diagram on how to set up two bosch type relays to reverse current, ill have to do it a bit later though, those mercedes power seats can pull a lot of current, so you really need to use relays

You need a switch setup with a single pole double throw, the center pole goes to ground,then you have two seperate ground outputs depending on the direction the switch is pushed, use the same diagram here you would use for door. it would require 2 five pin bosch relays per motor,which you can get all day at the yard, from working on those old mercedes power seats in the past, they requre a shitload of current, its going to be hard to find a switch capable of handling it, a lot of full size american cars with power seats had a relay setup already mounted on a bracket and wired

In answer to the original question, is it possible to use switches from another Benz?

almost every power seat setup ive seen has had relays, they often use series wound motors which take a lot of current, even if you used a switch by itself, it's going to shorten it's life considerably

Maybe something a little more heavy duty, those are rated at 3A@ 120v which I believe might be enough. I'm going to try and do a current draw test on the seat motors to see what I need

Those look like air ride switches, Im sure Grainger can get those if all else...

A lot of those seat motors can pull up to 30 amps
