Hey Everybody... My rear window trim started to peel, and the corner pieces were faded, so i fixed it. the only thing I could find that matched the trim was truck bed liner!!! When sprayed in coats, it looked just right! Of course, i did have to scrape off all that old rubbery paint first. Masking off was horrible!!!

Looks good, Phil. I had that problem (only worse) on my 85 HB. I just scraped it off and used flat black out of a can, but your way is clean and prolly more durable. That factory stuff is like half plastic, half paper or some crap. They all start to peel at some point. Did you have an aerosol can of bedliner??
Damn that looks good. I really really need to do that bad. My trim is peeling pretty bad. Please be more specific on the type of truck bedliner stuff you used.

Well i found an alternate way to do that, go see a honda dealer and u can order the new trim for like the back total would be like something around 200$ cdn installed

I used an aerosol can of Dupli-color "Truck Bed Coating" I bought at walmart in the automotive section. It looks a lot like the original trim coating. You have to make sure to do it in coats and spray from a distance, so you don't make the texture too big or bubbly looking (otherwise it will look like the underbody of your car). I did very light coats at about 7 or 8 inches from the trim. Make sure you scrape off all the old rubber stuff on any sections that are peeling; sand and paint the entire trim so it all looks the same (even the sections that are not peeling)Also make sure you mask off VERY carefully, and don't try to cover your car on a windy day :mad: . LOL
