I'm definately down for some night shots and whatnot. I'll bring the camera and a tripod too.
We should get some city and landscapes in if we can. Get a good mix. Well, I was going to install new piston rings/bearings today, but the guy on eGay sent me the wrong frickin head gasket set!!! Gah! So I have no idea when I'll be rebuilding... :(
bah, yea, 3geez is bein weird.
Anyway, i may not have a 3g for the meet...
the suspension swap didnt go ANYWHERE near planned, basically, the lower strut bushing that goes in the control arm/knuckle to support the bolt that holds the strut on the bottom side... well those bolts are STUCK in, and the bushings are trashed/torn/rusted to the knuckles. Its fucked.
Im going to trailer it home, send it to the local mechanic, then if he cant do it its going to the junkyard.
You can just get those parts out off the yunk yard for cheap. That same failure happened to me 6 yrs ago and believe me I don't think your local mechanic will be able to remove that high streght bolt that secures the lower control arm to the strut fork, on mine I send it to a big press and they apply like 6.5 tons of pressure to get that socker out. If I can be of any help call me my number is 720-227-4738
are you talking about the lower ball joint on the lower control arm?
you need a pickle fork to get those off. There's pretty much no other way unless you're reeeeally lucky. Don't go trailer anything, just get one for $8 or whatever it is. Sears has 'em, and any auto parts store.
No, im talking about the bolt that goes through the strut. The lower strut bushing is what honda calls the part. Tonight with the help of a sawzall and a few flathead screwdrivers, we got the bushing out, but we havent got the new one in... thats going to be a bitch. We may just do this one side, ill have 3/4 new struts, and then drive it home and have the mechanic do the last one for $100 and have it done in less then 2 hours. He said he can get both done in 2-2.5 hours, but i figure 1 shouldnt take more then 1-1.5 if hes expecting that. Our major problem is getting this damn bushing in.
be sure to use some anit-sieze stuff on that new bolt....
Just bought these:

don't know if you remember nate, but slowing down from high speeds is pretty bumpy in my car... now it's like an earthquake, so I decided it was about time to upgrade.
yea i remember, mines still really bad :( i have new rotors, i just need to pickup new pads and such, then i can swap them whenever i get around to it. I also need to drain my PS Fluid and replace/bleed it, theres a shit load of air in it.
in other news, check out my "new stuff" thread for some updates :) :)
Now im just waiting on my 2 mandrel bent peices to get here, then ill cut out my old exhaust and drop it on the floor to outline where everything is going to go (like you did).
sounds like a plan! can't wait to see your exhaust setup. how's the suspension going?
Check my thread in accord pics

Hey, Glad to hear you fix your car. Enjoy it! ( ti'll next time you need to fix it):)
haha yea, seems like somethings always broke :Owned2:
So is everyone still down for the meet?
Here are the official plans:
October 29th
3:30pm @ denver skate park (I-25 and 20th ave)
Any objections?
I dont know of any restraunts that are in the area, unless we drive into down town. So we may have to do a little bit of traveling for food.
I'll be there for sure, unless something breaks on my car "again":sad2:
(power steering pump on it's way to limbo)(same thing with brakes)
Are you sure it's not 20th street? not avenue?Quote:

:bowrofl: matt
yea, it gets worse every day...
btw, i think you still have my lug wrench kuz its not anywhere in my car... :sad2:
my car has settled a bit i think, it seems to be a little lower every day... especially on the front end since it has most the weight.
dude, sand it, and reclearcoat it so that your car doesn't look like my paint :P
Do it before your paint becomes oxidized
its too late to save his car... now he gets to gradually watch his paint fade away... like mine :)Quote:
