Re: Portland, Seattle, Washington, Oregon Meet!!! June 20, 2009 PIR
what a bunch of pansies. havent you guys ever slept in the back seat or just reclined the fronts. My last job I drove forever than had to work forever. I found it was easier to crash in the car for a few hours then keep driving. Every 4th day Id get a good nights sleep in a real room. No really Id like to see how many accord nuts can we get into a single room.

man I can't even imagine trying to sleep in my hatch. non reclinable seats, and no carpeting. Even my young back would probably break.

Re: Portland, Seattle, Washington, Oregon Meet!!! June 20, 2009 PIR
I slept in the back of my 81. It was padded and carpeted and levelled out for hauling stuff in back there. Back seat removed completely. It was REALLY comfortable, despite being unable to stretch. Slept back there when I went down to the Motoring J-Style show and got sick at the show, then later I threw up all over Pico's house.

Re: Portland, Seattle, Washington, Oregon Meet!!! June 20, 2009 PIR
sorry guys the bad dizzy was the final nail in the coffin. the wifey has been turning a blind eye to the amount of money Ive been spending to get the car ready for the meet and with the gas for the trip, spending money while there and now fixing a busted igniter i wont make it. Ill see what i can pull up but without a job or source of income i doubt its going to happen. Ive got a lead on some side jobs and im sure i wont be able to pull them off and get paid to order the rest of parts in less than a week. Ill report back if anything changes but till then, have fun.

Shit, I think I might have a B20A distributor if it will get you down to the meet. I will check around and see if I still have it...

Re: Portland, Seattle, Washington, Oregon Meet!!! June 20, 2009 PIR
So here's the deal with the Lodging for those of you who are coming from out of town.
Friday night, you guys can come crash at my place. I think that would be the easiest thing to do. I'll fire up the BBQ Friday night, we can light up the fire pit out in my back yard, and eat and have some beers, play video games, or whatever. Everybody is welcome to come out. I've got plenty of parking and room for everybody to sleep.
Get up Saturday morning, go to Portland, and we'll just get a place to crash down there. I'll shop around as soon as I get my ATM card. We'll have a room ready to go down there, where yet, I don't know, but just plan on bringing $10-20 to pitch in on the room if you're going to crash there. Sunday morning we can all grab breakfast or leave from there, whatever you wanna do.
So just know that if you're going to be staying in Portland, I'll make sure there's a place to crash.
I'm updating the first post in this thread with this new information.

Re: Portland, Seattle, Washington, Oregon Meet!!! June 20, 2009 PIR
zack reminded me of my b18c in the garage at my parent place. Im going down there tomorrow and grab the dizzy off that to see if itll work. if I can get the car going for not much money Im sure I can get the funds for the trip going but nothing more into the car. Lets hope the dizzy or at least the igniter is the same.

Re: Portland, Seattle, Washington, Oregon Meet!!! June 20, 2009 PIR
I have a vigor rear sway bar that I want to get rid of if anyone wants it.
I paid $20 iirc, so I just want my money out of it :)

Re: Portland, Seattle, Washington, Oregon Meet!!! June 20, 2009 PIR
what parts do you need to bring the hatch zack? i could go pull some out of the closet or off my 87 hatch is they are easy enough. Thanks for the offer on the dizzy by the way. i posted this same statement on my car update page but here it is for those that dont follow me.
30 minutes later and i find that my b16 head installed on the b18c block Ive got is from a 2000 civic si. Hopefully this means its something special. I also compared the b16 dizzy to the b18a dizzy and the mounting tabs are way different. The b16 dizzy will not work with the jdm b20a. The igniter, cap, rotor are all the same part numbers. The b16 wires have deeper protrusions into the spark plug cavaty than the b18a wires Im using so they do not seat on the valve cover like they are supposed to.
I get it installed, turn the key and 1/4 of a revolution and its purring again. Lets hope it stays this way this time around. This means if the clutch is good Im off to portland. I think thats my last major debacle to tackle. Ive got the interior to finish installing and a few other bits but this was a major milestone for me today. Exhaust will be taken care of tomorrow and Ill drop it on the ground and see if itll go under its own power. Lets hope so.
