i ran my car on the dyno today and i got 57HP/42KW, my car is piss weak!!
shit dude, that's far less than what it should be stock! fuck my would thump yours any day! .... i managed to beat a standard VL non turbo with my car, i can beat lasers, Cordia GSL's easy! and a few others, i magaged to beat my friend who drives a VH commodore! 2.6 litre inline 6! so easy! low end he was having the edge but within seconds mine just pulled right past and left him behind!
dude i run just my own custom intake, and that's it...and well yer, that's it.
do you think it is because of the high KM it has done. 226,000KM??
stock power at the engine is 85KW, if you calculate that it should equal 68KW at the wheels. 85x.8=68.
There was also a Proton GTi there and it got 60KW at the wheels and if you calculate tha it should equal 88KW at the wheels. 103x.85=88
I think the dyno was to hot so it was giving fals readings, it was a very hot day and there was about 50 cars that got dynoed.
well mine has done 137,000 funnily enough my mates 98 VT has done 138,000 and it's 10 years newer ! :D
Your car sounds like it needs a tune up, new plugs, get a bigger ignition coil, regap your plugs a litte larger from .044 to 0.05
rip off all the stock factory intake shit, make a short ram intake, i used piping from the original, a cone filter to make one, shits all over the orginal.
get your timing advanced a bit, new spark plug cables, new fuel filter, new oil & filter....get all that shit done...
i have got new:
spark plugs
spark plug wires
oil and filter
i have also got a civic intake pipe with pod
your friend sure loves driving.

well the accord will be going to be replaced by a starion turbo...
buy a 92 civic intake pipe from SIMOTA or get a exhaust shop to make one up or there is a how to on this site. i was lazy so i just got the civic intake pipe from SIMOTA and cut 4" off the end.Quote:

the h22 sure is one mighty fine engine. you would be better off having one big turbo then 2 little turbos.
unless you want to run it like the subaru libarty B4 one turbo is for low rpms and the other for high rpms.
i dunno, haven't thought bout it too much,

Just got a new engine for it yesterday, rebuilt, hypereutic pistons, just need a new turbo, for it, havent decided what new, umm gotta get MPI injection so ineed an aftermarket computer, im aiming for either a Haltech, Microtech or Wolf3d, then i need to get a set of VR4 or rx7 injectors. Gotta rip the rest of the old engine out this weekend, get the tranny serviced, and clean the engine bay out, pay off my credit debts then get moving on getting it back in, new gaskets,
I want a fast spooling turbo, though some i'm thinking a tc05, t3 or a td05...

the engine in mine is a 4G63BT, it's block is pretty much the same as the VR4 block found in the Galant, and it's similar to the cordia's 1.8l , just starion is bored to 2.0
The starion can fit a vr4 head on it, which is mint, opening up a world of twin cam possibilities, but it's also exrta expenses, due to the vr4 been an East-West engine.
The stock starion 2.0 block can be built up to pull some pretty high figures, there's a guy in melbourne who's an engine builder with a starion with the 8valve 4g63bt pulling about 400-450hp.
I need to get some pictures of the starion up atm, it's a real mess. The front 1/4 panels and hood is off, the original engine is without a head and about to be pulled out. The interior is stripped down, im going to be hopefully removing the back seats and replacing them with subs.
The starion right now is a heap, :( well looks like that since it's in pieces, my first goal is to have the engine in, running and going.
After that the car's interior will be done in black and dark red. While the exterior will be black :drool:

Ive got an 88 Si...dark metallic blue...but with annoying idling problems and leaking sunroof/front passenger door. Check my post in performance under idle problems. But the car looks great!

ANyways, my engine is wearing out! - I'm using 5L of engine oil a fortnight, (roughly).
I called the wreckers and they said;
A20A4 - $1000AU + $500 to put it in (roughly)
B18C5 - $3500-4000AU + $1000 to put it in (roughly)....
Should spend 5k to get 200hp motor?
Or just sell car, and buy a bloody new one?

have you ever driven a turbo car?? Last week I drove my friends Skyline and after that I lost all respect for the Accord and got addicted to BOOST. I am now saving up for a 180SX :D
All my friends have Turbo cars like Skylines, 180SXs, Silvias and REXs even my friend with the "81 Prelude just got a loan for $15,000 so he will now also be getting a Turbo car. But if you want to stay with a non-turbo FWD go with the B18C5.
