those are nice wheels!! When is he going to buy them? Also did u read on the previous post? I forgot who posted it!! But He stated that in certain parts of CT, they have massive contruction areas! so be careful!! They have signs like a mile before!!
im bringing them to the meet on sunday...thats the main reason why im going. :D hey coroncho..i dont have lug nuts for it so you should get some so we can put the wheels on at the meet! ..and the construction ...im sure i will be ok as long as i take it slow over the rough areas.....the bottom of my kit is pretty scratched up anyway...the day after the meet the car is going into storage for the winter so im probally gona take the kit off and touch it up
well they didnt refinance the house fast enough for me to get my new honda---i get it next week instead (my dad wanted to pay straight cash for the v6, so he was waiting tillafter the refinancing...)
so it looks like ill be down there in the 3g!!

the pep boys around here didnt have the ones i needed...you need to get like skinny lug nuts so they fit into the hole of the wheel...i got mine at like a tire place up the street from me ...just tell tell the place you have aftermarket 17's and need skinny lugs for them ....mabey even print that pic and bring it with you

no problem. you also have to buy a wrench for then because they are not hex bolts, but that shouldn't cost too much. it's more of a special socket type thing than a wrench itself.

that sounds like your clutch is slipping big time, unless you have an automatic. i don't think it's the speedo because he said that the RMPs go up but he doesn't go faster. if you can tell the RPMs are actually going up but you can physically feel that you aren't going faster without even looking at the speedo, then the speedo has nothing to with it.Quote:

i don't live around there so i am not too familar with the area, but the streets you end up takling to get there are kind of residential. they have houses mixed with like small stores and stuff. there are parking lots, but i couldn't tell you one specifically because i have never had to stop anywhere when i have gone there. it's kind of a shady area. i would just meet in the main parking lot and look for each other in the parking lot. we don't want to go in and lose each other and end up never meeting each other. now we really need to decide on a time.

Get there earlier if you plan to race. Tech closes at noon and the first 500 get to race. I might show up now. I'm having some small problems. I hope its just that the plugs fouled. I might show up to get knocked out in the first round of elims, I can't get a good light for the life of me. Still'll be fun.

i dont plan on entering in any of the races...how long do the races go for...what time they end ?
i think they will just be going all day. i guess they will go till they narrow it down to the fastest import and fastest domestic and than have the final race. it could go into the night. they will have 500 cars to go through. i don't expect to stay for the whole thing, depening on how late it goes.
I'd doubt that 500 will show up. Its single eliminations so 500 will go quicker then you think Sundays usually get started early. I'll assume that they'll have time trials starting around 12:30-1 ish and get the racing going by 3ish. Probalby going till around 9-10. It'd be nice if there was a schedule. All it takes is one car to blow up on the track and make a mess to throw things off though. Its been along time since I've been to one of these things, but thats about how I remember it.

if you say that you need a thinner lug for an aftermarket wheel they will know what you are talking about. they can look up the thread you need at the auto parts store, unless they are total idiots who work there. i used to know the thread size but i forgot. i think it is 12X1.25.

I work in a rim shop and were far from idiots!!!!!!!!!! It all depends on the rim and wether his rim is gona take a bolt that is long but thin or is it gona take a bolt that is not that long and thin or so on.So it varies a normal 3geez has a bolt size of 1/2 inch my after market rims used a 1/2 inch. Now my winter rims use a 3/4inch. I will bring him the right lug if he knew the name of manufacturer of the rim and the name of the rim. If not i'll have to bring a few different sets.....

I washed the engine this morning and let me tell you that i thought the water from the hose was gonna frezee or something. It was cold and windy, bad combination. But the engine is looking great now. I painted the valve cover red on Friday, it looks cool, like new. Well, you guys will see it tomorrow. I'll be here for many hours, so just keep posting shit so i can stay awake! :lol
