hey have you tried fliping the lid? this is what i am talking about

I haven't tried that, no. Better airflow i'm guessing?
if you can, have a stepped 4-2-1 header built... that's the ultimate street header...
hmmm...only problem for the moment: money maybe in a year though...
then do the cheap things now, then work up
things you can do on the cheap are a new coil, plug wires, flipped carb lid or homeade intake, and if you can get a good deal on it, swap to EFI... it's not uncommon to come across a wrecked and running EFI 3gee for $50...
doing that will be a nice improement... also on the cheap if you can do the work yourself is porting your intake manifold, and headwork... i know i'll be doing my own headwork, and i'm figuring a good 20 or so HP out of that... it's gonna end up costing me less than $150 for a job that should cost upwards of $500... the power of working yourself...
Derick
do a b16efi swap then cai and exhuast.
mmm...b series. would be hard unless you know of someone other than place racing that makes the mounts. but it can't keep me from dreaming.
not the b16 engine, the intake mani and fuel injectors, like mikes accord

my bad im not a very careful reader sometimes. i see what your talkin about now. lemme look for a thread n the how-to on that. does that open the possibility of perf. injectors for the b16? and wouldn't that cause a problem for a turbo eventually?
well now. that looks like an interesting project. now flame me if i'm wrong here but the b16a comes from a 5th gen civic right? cause i live pretty close to a good junkyard and i might just try to go find two of those today. (just in case one is ruined beyond my budget and brains to repair)
oh and the turbo question still stands
doesn't bother a turbo setup, as for us it's all custom anyways... even if it were a kit, all you'd have to do is trim a little here, and a little there...
good, cause i'd like to get this finished in a couple of months and maybe start a turbo job next summer. i wanna be turboed by 2006. oh well for now i'll try to get this done as well as the exhaust. thanks for the advice guys!
