honestly, you dont even know how common an occurance this is to back into the garage door. at the door shop i used to work at this made for a regular daily service call. lol.
Replacing the clutch is so easy. All you really need is a torque wrench, a few sockets, jack stands and a jack and a 2nd hand. You can rebuild an engine for $1200 or even less.
4 years you say? and yet you are only 17? Do they permit a license for 13yearolds where you are from?Quote:

when i bought my 3gee i had to teach my self how to drive stick....i have less than a year...i learn the hard way...learn where all your gears are or when you try to downshift to 3rd gear you dont end up in 1st gear.
i'm 34 and have been driving a stick since I was 15,I've driven cross country several times and probably close to a million miles. I hate slushboxes, would rather have a 5 speed anyday
5speed FTW 4speed FTSW Automatic FTL
:gun:automatic :rocket:

So Total Family Interest In this car $7,697!
and the suck thing is it's a car that I don't feel like having a future with!
It smokes bad when I shift it, and it has decent rust, including the dreaded Wheel arch rust that has made a small hole in the arches.
So even know I feel stupid for what I invested in the car least it's a lot less then what my parents invested! One of the reason costs are so much for my parents are due to having a lot of mechanics screw them over.
My plan with the car is to Get a LX-i or SE-i and trade over any parts then can be traded, and Swap the old parts over to the LX and sell it.
