some good parts on it but that body needs a LOT of work
cool to see another ca3 here.
you my friend are pretty game to take on that much rust.
i would be taking everything Si off it , including the chassis number and build plate and whacking it all on a clean lesser model ca accord.
good luck
Will find out this weekend got the feeling I will be finding some living creatures lol
I am not sure what you mean by arm rest I think its the console I want an armrest. Maybe the usdm and jdm have different centre consoles
I know lots of body work need to cut and weld in alot of places !!!
I wish it was that easy, this is the only accord in South Africa and I love it!!!
Awesome cars I must admit I have always been a lude man but I think I am turning lol
But yes gonna import some parts from Alex to get here where I want to get the car in the required condition
need more option parts lol
Yes she does need some tlc!! Hey but for that price guess you cant complain....Its really gonna be worth it when u get that baby running!! Im so glad I stuck with my B20A project....Just to hear people say "dude that old accord is fast" is just priceless
haha I know what you mean every one think these old ludes and accords are pieces of junk lol
Need some help here the rust is really bad !!!
I dont mind fixing it but where should I look for structural damage which could result in a dangerous vehicle
Ok so I decided to do a bit of a clean-up as this car was disgusting !!!
Removed all the parts that were lying in the engine bay

I brown is growing on me :kekeke:
Well I decided to test something...
My lude will not be using its sleeve over and shocks setup
So I thought try it
First off I thought the ludes were difficult to work on but B20A accords a new level of HARD !!!
So it is using 2G lude GR2 Shock (about .5cm shorter ) and 90-93 Megan Racing Sleeve Overs

Didnt take a pic of the rear but I did a 40mm drop, but only on the one side had to go visit the GF...
But this is how the rear sits and it is very similar to the front

Car looks odd due to the 1 shock only been done
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/w...n/DSCN0368.jpg
I have the 2 piston Brakes
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/w...n/DSCN0331.jpg
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/w...n/DSCN0334.jpg
Brakes are seized and rusted and car has a shit load of rust on the body work and if I cant find a Import motor for this car I might call it quits... :(
Great progress!! She is starting to clean up real nice....Sucks about the rusted out parts. Seems like the owner totally gave up on her...all u need is that spare engine and you will be set
that accord looks like its rusting in every accord rust spot there is apart from under the tail lights. Alex will send you an engine im sure i counted like 5 in his shed the other day :P
Thanks buddy yeah the previous owner was a real dumbass for doing that !!!
I know he is a b20a maniac !!! but I want to try look for it locally to avoid any issues with the custom pricks
Will post pics of the rust issues tomorrow

Also I am missing 3 Exhaust and 7 Intake valves :(
But I do have new valve stem seams and valve guides
Still looking for the import motor
I have been so miffed about this the whole weekend...
So due to the rare availability of this model in South Africa
What should I do keep the car or should I scrap it ?
Well since I cant poll this thread
Post your answer
Thanks
if you don't have serious connections or abilities yourself to fix all that rust i would take all the rare parts from the interior and whatever you can salvage elsewhere and junk it.
i wish you were closer because i have lots of b20 stuff left
Thats not a problem
I just paid the deposit for the gasket and intake manifold
:)
Thought about it long and hard on what to do here
left for work telling myself its time to let her go
But when I got back from work and look by while entering the house I had second thoughts
So...
I told myself if the has no rust on the chassis I will keep her
So here are the shots I took tonight :)
Also tonight was the COLDEST night we have experienced for winter but I had to see

http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/w...h_DSCN0453.jpg
Rear Suspension
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/w...h_DSCN0451.jpg
Conclusion
*Chassis had some surface rust/dust NO bubbles or holes
*Front and Rear Suspension can be saved needs to be removed and sand blasted
*Sill lip had some rust nothing major
*Seems like I will only need the body pieces to weld in to fix this issue which I am sure Alex can do for me
All I need to do know is find B20A motor here and fire her up
Thanks for the above comments made me unsure about this lol
Tonight I hooked up my battery and see whats working
Wipers, Indicators, Hazzards Climate controls, Headlights, dash lights, hooter, etc are working !!!
Central locking working
Only the drivers window opens and closes half way
Tried to turn the crank and no luck seem the moisture has claimed this motor !!! :(
Also tried starting it but it wont fucken budge
take the motor to the machine shop and have it rebuilt? Not sure if you have a local one near or not in africa-good luck though.
MOAR RUST FOUND :(
Took off the fenders to give the car a spray clean and...
