Apparently that's a set to do both sides,I thought it was one side, good deal there
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
Just wanted to confirm that the rear lower control arm bushing works. Everything on this list works

if you take apart the bushing (prothane kit 8-312) the bushing it self fits the stock sleeve after knocking out the rubber and metal tube. You will have to untapper the stock lca bushing sleeve to get the Prothan insert to fit. Bing bam done. ill have to post pics. but just wanted to throw that out there. ive compared should fit no problem. (i have a new stock rear lca bushing)
Are you still around? What do you mean by "untapper the stock lca bushing sleeve"
I have the 8312 set of 8 pieces.
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
No idea what he meant, but don't bother with that kit, it's a waste of money. Most of what it replaces doesn't fit or you can buy the whole component with bushings installed for less money.
Fwiw the bushings in question are just too big so there's enough shit to make it work if you hate yourself

I think what he was saying is that when you go to remove the bushings there is a metal sleeve/race/shim or whatever you want to call the part of the stock bushings that need to be removed. Most of the time theses are pressed in so they are quite difficult to get out. But once removed this kit should fit. Now I could be very wrong but that's what my take on thing's is and from experience this was something I've experienced.

The money wasn't much, but if the LCA bushings are a no go not the end of the world. My factory bushings actually are still good.

Looking, it seems the outer factory sleeves are shaped smaller at the ends, so now I see what he was saying. I'm not going to do anything with the rear LCA bushing now.
It seems the other Prothane bushings will work. Thanks for the replies you two.Attachment 11321
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
Hell yeah, repping the STS class too. Lmao
You can actually get adjustable rear arms for cheap, run these instead of those stupid eccentric bolts, there's no way the rear of the car is actually straight and true to the front.

Will they actually fit our 3rd gen cars? 1991 to 1997.
Here is the link I have saved.

Do you have proof they will fit?
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
Yup. https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthre...=1#post1226478
4th gen cars have nearly identical suspension, save for the track width and front upper control arms. That and just the general size of things, like the bushings aren't interchangeable, but the arms themselves are, at least adjustable aftermarket ones

Thank you! I was going to order those a while back, but then concerned they wouldn't fit.
Now I need to figure what to do about the swing arm bushings. I have heard say, that factory ones are not available for years now.
I already put on the Chedas rear upper arms.
My rear suspension is the only thing that has not been rebuilt, and I'd like to get it done.
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
For sway bars I do use the poly energy suspension ones... Those are also like dirt cheap and I'm pretty sure they're just a universal type. I think the one other bushings I used from the energy suspension kit was the strut rod bushings, but I don't think it's much of an upgrade, the front isn't very rigid under acceleration lol
I'm using civic/Integra poly bushings in the trailing arms that were turned down... It was not easy. Mevotech adjustable rear uppers, prelude front uppers with the high camber mounts. I've also retrofit a bunch of civic/Integra parts like ball joints and tie rods.
I really want to check out some different knuckles, maybe civic ones would be drop knuckles, but extended ball joints would also do that. I'm also curious what it'd do if it just took out some angle on the uca with an overall shorter knuckle. Then 4th gen front lcas are an inch longer so that'd be one way to get some more front camber without going nuts on the uppers

Seems there is no easy solution to the trailing arm bushings. Maybe I'll need to have some custom ones made, or have them refilled with some type of polyurethane stuff, but that might be too stiff. Problem there is, those bushings need to have some flex to them as camber changes when the rear is working hard.

The rear suspension on our car is where the magic is. Your right to tread lightly. The arm needs to turn a little that makes that bushing do alot of the work. The upper link is the only thing I have messed with in the rear. Even my sway bar bushings are stock in the rear.
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
They make metal bushings for the civic/Integra that are kinda like a giant heim joint, those would probably be a lot more forgiving when turning them down to fit. They articulate more than our suspension would ever need though, but they would complete eliminate any fore/aft movement
If you wanted to pour and mould a poly bushing that'd probably be quite easy.
No problems with my bushings though, as long as you're not replacing it with a solid block of aluminum it'll be fine

Would you have a link to that heim joint bushing? Not sure what you mean by turning then down. I wonder if the ID of those are even close.
I found these: Link
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
Oh yeah those bolt in... So you'd have to be pretty creative lol. As for the center hole it can just be sleeved

I figured as much. I don't think I want to get that creative! Would make a nice joint if it could be done right.
Would you happen to have an old factory bushing that you would sell, or have the EXACT dimensions of the trailing arm bushing?
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
No they're in a steel sleeve and I cut the rubber out and reused the sleeve then just turned to fit. They weren't exact so I epoxied them in

https://www.rockjock4x4.com/products...-johnny-joints
I always like the Johnny joint design its a little more road friendly and I think its rebuild able.
Re: energy suspension bushings ALL.
If the ID of those are big enough and they fit in the mount, then I bet they'd work pretty darn good

Thanks I thought I saw some dimensions somewhere, but can't seem to find them.
