No idea what he meant, but don't bother with that kit, it's a waste of money. Most of what it replaces doesn't fit or you can buy the whole component with bushings installed for less money.
Fwiw the bushings in question are just too big so there's enough shit to make it work if you hate yourself
I think what he was saying is that when you go to remove the bushings there is a metal sleeve/race/shim or whatever you want to call the part of the stock bushings that need to be removed. Most of the time theses are pressed in so they are quite difficult to get out. But once removed this kit should fit. Now I could be very wrong but that's what my take on thing's is and from experience this was something I've experienced.Quote:

You can actually get adjustable rear arms for cheap, run these instead of those stupid eccentric bolts, there's no way the rear of the car is actually straight and true to the front.

4th gen cars have nearly identical suspension, save for the track width and front upper control arms. That and just the general size of things, like the bushings aren't interchangeable, but the arms themselves are, at least adjustable aftermarket ones

My rear suspension is the only thing that has not been rebuilt, and I'd like to get it done.
For sway bars I do use the poly energy suspension ones... Those are also like dirt cheap and I'm pretty sure they're just a universal type. I think the one other bushings I used from the energy suspension kit was the strut rod bushings, but I don't think it's much of an upgrade, the front isn't very rigid under acceleration lol
I'm using civic/Integra poly bushings in the trailing arms that were turned down... It was not easy. Mevotech adjustable rear uppers, prelude front uppers with the high camber mounts. I've also retrofit a bunch of civic/Integra parts like ball joints and tie rods.
I really want to check out some different knuckles, maybe civic ones would be drop knuckles, but extended ball joints would also do that. I'm also curious what it'd do if it just took out some angle on the uca with an overall shorter knuckle. Then 4th gen front lcas are an inch longer so that'd be one way to get some more front camber without going nuts on the uppers
Seems there is no easy solution to the trailing arm bushings. Maybe I'll need to have some custom ones made, or have them refilled with some type of polyurethane stuff, but that might be too stiff. Problem there is, those bushings need to have some flex to them as camber changes when the rear is working hard.Quote:

No they're in a steel sleeve and I cut the rubber out and reused the sleeve then just turned to fit. They weren't exact so I epoxied them in

I always like the Johnny joint design its a little more road friendly and I think its rebuild able.
If the ID of those are big enough and they fit in the mount, then I bet they'd work pretty darn good
