LOL, a week? There is no way you could read everything in a week. I came to this site and did nothing but read for about 2 months and i still didnt read everything. IF your painting it you need to sand off the primer you have on there and get real primer and a paint gun. Between all the tools and supplies you will need to buy to paint your own car it will cost just the same maybe more then having a place do it.Quote:

the only way you'll fix that mess you've got now is to completly strip the car down,get some 2 k epoxy primer and repaint it to seal the metal,you were much better off before. I would have sold it as it was,now you've got a car that was sanded down to bare metal,sprayed with cheap ass primer,not designed for automotive use,not designed for bare metal!!!!!note this!!! that primer WILL NOT protect that metal from rusting from the bottom up. what you'll have in a month is a car with gray primer,that is slowly turning rust color,because you removed all the protective factory primer,and replaced it with CRAP!! that car is toast now. unload it as fast as you can. I see this all the time,people who have sanded down a car to bare metal,sprayed some crap on it,and now the entire car is rust from bumper to bumper. +if you had read what you said you did,you would not be in this situation.!!! there is tons of info on bodywork on here,as well as the rest of the internet. as much time as you probably spend on your computer wearing out pringles cans,you could have been researching body work. I'm not trying to run you down,I'm just stating the truth. you have probably ruined that car. If you had access to paint equipment right now,you could strip the car,treat the metal for corrosion with something phosphate based,and spray it with epoxy,but since you don't,and likely won't the car is done for. cancer has to treated quick in cars and people,let is spread too far,and theres no hope for eithier. if your car was a person,you would have just given it the worst case of skin cancer you possibly could have.

Open up the phone book and look for places, im sue there are some close. And go to all of the shops around and get prices on how much they want. What are you trying to get done? If your going for a full color change its expensive because they have to paint the door jams and all, just get it painted the original color.

If you sell it you will get like what 500-700? Why put more money into it, you will spend 700 on a paint job to get an extra 100 when you sell it, thats a waste of money.

lol work with my dad the funny thing is my real dad dose sale durugs over in HI and he wont pay child suport (fucking ass hole)..and my step dad cant find a job not even at fast food there is no work out here :( ....it not really up to me to decide what go's on with the 3gee it up to my mom and step dad it the only car we have when the rental car go's back (in the AM) and $1400 anit enuf to get a car and get it in are name and smog test and all that other junk all the cars out here run around $1000 up and $1000 for a 89 mazda 323 4speed stick is a lil much and a 90 accord is like $1700 and no 3gees for sale out here right now and when thay are thay like $1200 for aDX that why i know when it comes to the time to sale the 3gee i will get $700
