D16? It's DOHC.
even a dohc zc which would be a d16 but dohc is faster than the accord. something's wrong with his motor... or he has an HF transmission, those are the only two options for a crx being slower than an accord in any form. unless he swapped and stayed dual point.

i would think even a DPFI gutted crx would be able to beat or be even to a stock 3gee...

It's a '90 with a '91 engine from a Canadian Si-R. It's really a piece. The first transmission went out within a month of him getting it. I really don't know that much about it, but it's pretty slow. Slow enough to be beaten by my car. :)
And, I am sorry to all for my douche-baggy-ness. :( 'Specially Blake and Dave, but less to Dave, because he started bugging me on Facebook. ;)

E30's have always been my favorite older German, but people either say it's a great car or the worst thing they've ever owner. Never in the middle.
Oh, Teggy's out. Not paying that price with that mileage. ;) Supra has 164k.
Re: Charlie's official update thread
Hopefully it goes good with that se-i that thing is minty!

Mike said he'd help me swap the manual from the LX-i into the SE-i, but the only way I can get the SE-i is if I sell the LX-i first.

hmm... im seeing a flaw in your plan.
Re: Charlie's official update thread
Haha damn, so that se-i is an auto then? Why not just sell the lx-i and get it then find a donor to steal a manual tranny from?

Doesn't matter. SE-i is gone. Apparently, though, the guy who had it has had a few SE-i's because "they pop up all over the place". He saved my number and said he'd call me if he found another.
Re: Charlie's official update thread
That sucks that it's gone hopefully more pop up though and are somewhat as minty you guys out there have way too many 3geez to choose from.
Re: Charlie's official update thread
Baby steps: Went to several junkyards today and got some pedal covers and a shift knob from a Legend (thanks, CAH!). Also found a DX coupe that I'm going to get the center tail lights off of and a windshield wiper arm (no flaking paint).
Also saw this lip on an '86 LX sedan. Some foreign guy on here has one on his red sedan with fixed headlights. He painted "HONDA" white on his. Too bad this one is toast.

Re: Charlie's official update thread
if the long part of that lip is still good, you should grab it, the side bits can be found easily over here & will be pretty cheap to ship over to there
Re: Charlie's official update thread
You can see the worst of it. The chunk missing and the hole.
Oh, another thing I forgot: I did get that new wiper arm (without flaking paint).
