i saw the pics yesterday and was going to post but didn't end up getting a chance. looks like it would have been really good to attend and i would have even met roodoo, too bad. we need to have a winter one before it snows so i guess more of a fall one huh? or we could just shoot for next year right? maybe some of the further north guys can make it, or we can do it a little further north to help out with their drive.
Were thinking Orlando next year.

were we serious about that? Besides trying to make it a meet that is tied to something larger I was thinking about 2 other locations that would require a little scheduling.
1. Marysville, Ohio and get a tour at the Honda Factory
2. King Motorsports in Wisconsin - they are an official US Mugen dealer and have some events throughout the year.

Re: Big Flippin' Meet, Raleigh NC, May 20 - May 23
king would be cool but i don't know about driving that far north for me... maybe next year i'll have a 3g again, i keep looking, couldn't find anything like that se-i psht...
i may even get to put some of my car back together this weekend. i'm gonna paint the rest of my interior plastics and see how it all looks... too bad i don't have the black rear seats... can't find anyone to do that for a decent price guy quoted me to recover the rears with black fabric 450.
orlando would be cool with me, i wish we had a lot more people that were close together we could get a monthly like the CA folks.

That would be cool. Dont get me wrong, I have huge respect for the people who are willing to drive long distances to make it to meets...but working in an industry that revolves around spring/summer and nice weather its tough.

I say we do St Louis. Its about 16 hrs for you, the Ct crew, and me. I55 Raceway, Gateway international raceway and lots to do in the city :)

Re: Big Flippin' Meet, Raleigh NC, May 20 - May 23
Might sounds like a dumb question, but whats in st louis?
Next big meet should definately be focused around a good automotive event.
-
Re: Big Flippin' Meet, Raleigh NC, May 20 - May 23
IDK what was in N. Carolina? I know they have the drag strip, the dirt track, and I think the major shows roll through as far as HIN and DUB and whatever. The usual stuff I guess, zoos, museums, and dont forget the Anheuser Busch Brewery.
Hell if I know to be honest just thinking of places that were semi central to more than just the east coast and had things to do at the same time. If nothing else its centralized if we wanted to do bigger

Re: Big Flippin' Meet, Raleigh NC, May 20 - May 23
That Marysville idea sounded good to me. Just sayin.
-
Re: Big Flippin' Meet, Raleigh NC, May 20 - May 23
Any of the above sounds good to me. King motorsports is 14 hours from me, Marysville is 14 1/2, and St. Louis is 7 1/2.
I still say 3g National Meet in OKC/Tulsa/Kansas City :D

NO
again NO... but it is good as is most all bbq especially mine:cheers:
that big arch thing isnt that St Louis?
in the late spring or summer is ok but not right at the end of school, that made it impossible to schedule anything for arrangements in my situation
also were still trying to make it up to New England this summer

Re: Big Flippin' Meet, Raleigh NC, May 20 - May 23
I'm probably done with trips for this year.
Yes the arch thing is St. Louis, and i have heard wonderful things about KC bbq, but i've literally never had bbq that i didn't like. The Pit was probly the best i've had.

Depends on what you like since its all different where you go. I like Memphis style bbq or Carolina style over Texas or KC style. Its all in the sauce as they say
