its not that I dont have time its more that I dont have key resources. im waiting on legendmaster to send me the basemap hes got and Ill need to find someone to burn it onto a chip for me. Reinstall the radiator and the biggest i guess is I need a few gaskets and hoses from honda and Im freakin broke. I can get everything installed if I had a intake gasket and tb gasket. My fuel rail hits the intake so Ill need to find a new one of those. Other than that Id say iots 90% or better as it sits. Im going to try and get parts installed on it as my kids allow time. thats what i can see taking the brumt of the time and all. Thanks for the offer though. well, i just got switched from weekends(fri-mon) to weeknights(mon-thurs). and i already started all my leave paperwork. so now i have more time to work on swappin parts from the sedan to the hatch, and it also increases my chance of makin it to the meet!!!

I'm going to ask my dad and 3 brothers if they want to come to the meet. They have the whole summer off (school teachers)- it should be fun for a (fathers day weekend).

Okay so I REALLY want to bring the hatch down. Here is the list of things that MUST be done to bring it.

Trip Permit [does anybody know if a WA permit will be valid in OR?]
Radiator [i have this already]
Brake Job [i have these as well]
Oil Change
Head lights [i also have these]
Alignment [$$$ :-( ]
TUNE [ AGAIN :-( ]

that lsi is a whole lot shorter than mine to bring the coupe down but im working like crazy on it. I went and got all the misc hoses for it today so Ill clean those up and get them installed. I just hope i can get a tune and emissions out of the way before the meet. i do not want to bring down my hatch. Its a work car for crists sake. ill park it around the block

Damn i'm actually really looking forward to this thing! So if there's any sort of list my name should be on then put me down for this thing. I think I got the jist of how its gonna go down: early morning for dyno's, early afternoon for grub, late afternoon for a shoot, early evening for time trials. I think that bout sums it up. Sounds like I need to bring around a 100 clams for everything, def want the dyno but no way in hell i'm getting the hatchy on the track. (I'd be too embarrased) But i do want to see everyones runs and stuff and i need my dyno done so I got a good baseline for when i start doing stuff to my engine. SO if there is anything else i should know about this thing guys please lets me know!!!

speaking of the dyno is it just a pull pass or 2-3 pulls or do they give you a chance to swap some stuff around. Im getting a tune done but its for emissions and its going to cost a heapload more to do another tune for any sort of performance. Just curious? I hope I get this car ready by then. Lost and tons of little things. I yanked the a/c stuff from the engine bay today. Cooling, fuel, vac systems are all a go. electrical, suspension, brakes, tune, registrering, detailing is all thats left. Oh man this would be sweet though

3 pulls, no real time to tune (beyond some minor minor changes).

There's no 'track time' per se, it's just drag strip @ Portland International Raceway.

Okay guys, so I had this idea too. This would be for those of you who are traveling a long distance, and don't want to put an extra 4 hours on their trip driving to Chris' house or my house and back to the meet and then back again. I was thinking about renting a hotel room near to the race track. That way maybe we could hang out in Portland and not have to do a late night drive clear back to Olympia. I figure if we tell them 3 people will be using the room, we could just squeeze people in and crash on the floor and all split the cost. What do you guys think?

And is Messy seriously coming up for this? Holy shit! You should drag the rest of the crew down there along with you!

Hey what about getting a park/picnic spot reserved for part of the day and have a bbq there like we tried to do last year (with limited participation)? Assuming we can't do it somewhere more convenient.

Yeah, demitri will be there bbq'ing most likely. It's usually $5 for a burger/2hotdogs, chips and drink.

There's plenty of places around there to go eat, though, otherwise.

I figured the dynos would take up a good portion of the morning. Last dyno day I went to took a surprisingly long time. Then going from Hillsboro or Beaverton or wherever that shop is to some place to have a nice looking photoshoot should take up plenty of time. Then from there to PIR would probably take up some decent time too.

I'm still looking for a place to photoshoot. If anybody has any ideas of some nice scenery, or nice views lemme know. I'm heading down to Portland to scope some spots out this week.

Messy's gotta drag Pico and Ghetto up here.

iirc there are only a couple 18+ strip clubs down there, i think most are 21+...

drag racing goes from 6pm-12am according to PIR's website, so it will either be the night before or late saturday night I am assuming. (edit - unless you want the afternoon c-squad ;))

but yeah you can't go 2 blocks without running into a strip club in portland.

From what I can remember, there's a strip club just up the street from the track on Interstate Ave. You could walk there from the track ;)
