LOL......something is wrong either timming or you have a BIG ASS BOOST LEAK SON lol...shouldnt be reving that slow.....or that or im used to the 1 sec drop from 4grand LOL.....nice to see man great......i just got my shit tuned...so awesome....lol...pulls like crazy now...i have to post new vids and pics
timing is prob off(i set it by eye lol) and i have a boost leak.
sounds good tho. oh and i like this video cuz ppl will think its slower then it really is...so i can make that money!
So car is acting funny.
Was playing with a 240 on the hwy, and after getting done we go our separate ways then suddenly car runs pig ass rich to the point it would try and die and didnt wanna idle so i pull into a gas station and turn the car off. I start it back up and its running lean as fuck, so i turn the fuel pressure up and the fuel up on the safc and it seems to be running okay.. im so confused... any ideas? Havent had a real chance to look at it yet.
it kinda sounds like the plugs fouled or a fuel pressure problem.

yea it was weird, i thought an injector stuck open cuz my friend was behind me and he said he could smell fuel on the way to the gas station, but once i turned it off i dono... maybe a new fuel pump is needed?
hmm. did it sound like a suby?
If you foul a plug the cylinder wont fire so it pushes out raw fuel.
fuel pump could be a possibility also but it's hard to say.
what kind of fpr do you have?
um.. it just sounded rich like it does on start up when the main relay went bad. Cuz i hit the fuel kill and it reved up and idled normal for a few seconds before it died.
and i have a B+M fpr, no gauge tho :( (yea i need to get one)
ummm yeah a foul plug well do it. Safc depends on its o2 sensor how do i know that cause i was dealing with it last week....runing rich as fuck and my plugs fouled bad. and had to replace em. after that no more cel and running bogging.so i would do that tim. let know....(BTW im alittle tipsy so dont mind)

I'd say you are running rich at part throttle and/or during normal driving.
Did you get a wideband yet?
oil didnt smell like fuel. smelled like dirty ass oil(a smell i know oh too well) and yea i assumed part throttle is wayy to rich. I plan on bumping the timing up some and prob turning the fuel pressure down then going from there.
I havent gotten a wideband yet. Im gonna try and trade my rims for one( i have 12 of them lol)
well i found out my clutch switch doesnt work so i got the idea to hook the 2step up to my horn button. Good plan/ bad plan?

I put a stock FPR on the car and new spark plugs on the car and it still isnt running right, cant go over 30% throttle w/o it feeling like its getting choked. dono wtf it is. then yesterday as i was taking a simple trip to the store i found out the car stopped blowing off(WTF?) and i cant look at the car today cuz of the fucking rain and im supposed to drive an hour home tomorrow to work on my moms car so im kinda worried about that.. hoping its a bad fucking boost leak...and ideas would help. :)

Take off the charge pipe on the turbo see if its spinning. retighten the clamps. or make a boost leak tester. very handy.
it was a boost leak. Had a pipe at the very bottom of the cluster fuck that came off lol.
and lets see.. i put it to the floor for the first time in a while and it still feels restricted... like in the video... possibly timing problem? and how many degrees retarded per lbs of boost should the btm be set at?
mine was set at .75 if i remember right.
check the plugs also. you may have fouled one.
damn that might be my prob then. i have mine set a 1.5 lol... ill change that later...

okay so im on my 3rd set of spark plugs.... and im having a problem. I keep fouling them out but yet my narrowband keeps saying that im running lean up after 4k. And then after i get on it for more then like 7-10 seconds and go back to normal driving the car wants to flood out. like its sputters and you can smell gas outta the exhaust. I even hit the fuel kill and it idled for like a min and some change before it ran outta fuel. BUT if i turn the car off and start it back up it acts like nothing never happened... FPR problem?

K tdurr. I want every setting you got. once you tell me ill can tell whats wrong an whats needs changed. SOMETHING is up. i had the same problem. MY crossover was wierd if i had it 50 70. It would bog when i hit 4k and i would get a CEL...run like crap and would lean out, SO there for i put the crossover at 50.55. there for it wouldnt be so much of a gap inbetween the jump of the two maps. Thats why i kepted my high and low settins teh same. THings ran so much better. THAT and i was running way to rich. IF your fouling plugs. its cause your timing and to much fuel. not pulling your timming enought and not enought fuel or to much fuel prehaps well cause this.

Running WAY to lean on the Hi throttle son. thats why you bogging. YOUr low settings seem bout right. Alittle rich but ill give you my settins and see if it helps you. AND like i said keep the crossover close as possible it will only let you get as close as 5. So lets say you want 45/46 i wont. it would only let you do 45/50 which is where i have mine. Alot of shit is wrong to...ill go check mine out. BUT your high setting WTF LOL. really lean son....BUT yes i prolly told you to do that didnt i.

well i got tired of waiting.. so i changed the crossover to 45/50 and upped the fuel in hi to the 20's and it does seem to run better, i think ill put the fuel to like low 20's/high 10's and replace my 02 sensor and see how it runs...
oh and i found out a have a rad leak today :(

Mr. Rendons tune will work for a base tune. You'll have to fine tune it for you'r car. Every car is different, even if you have the exact same setup.
^^ that i kno, but something is compltealy wrong. I put his tune as a base tune AGAIN today and it still goes mad lean(0.000) so after christmas i gotta fix a few things... aka new fuel pump, fpg, new cam gear, weld on the O2 sensor bung, new O2, put the 16g on, and tint the windows... lol...
Soooo i did somemore fiddling with the safc and got it right under WOT!!!!!!!!!!! lol i moved the precentages a lil bit on the low and high side and its at .7xx o2 voltage during part throttle and under wot.
lol yea... soo now i gotta test it out when i dont have a car full of people, luggage, and a expired tag.

well an update...
my t25 wg arm broke 2 weeks ago and i finally got around to pulling the turbo off.
16g should be going on the lil sleeper here soon. Hopefully i can get a MBC so i can turn the boost down and be safe for a while...
oh and i decided that during the summer im saving up for internals and a hone and gonna shoot for 250-300......

you cant turn boost down. so if a acturater is 8psi then its 8psi can go lower...sorry for my bad grammer. can only go higher

lol. oh and on the o2 bung i welded on my dp, the big glob on the side is from where i blew a hole through the metal and had to fill it cuz i forgot to turn the damn welder down haha.
Those wheels looked good on your car....lol they didnt shake cause they had small bores they shook because they were all bent lol. Bore diam was small though since they were mr2 wheels orig.

and the welds... yea i forgot to turn the amp+wirespeed down and blew a hole in the pipe so i had to fill it. even then i had it to far up lol i can weld good now dont get it twisted :cool:
that thing took like 10 hours and 100+ feet of wire to make. but worth it in the end.
But car update:
Got the 16g bolted on after 6hours in the cold and some more cutting, hammering, and cursing lol. gotta get the J-pipe cut and re-welded so i can run the IC pipes then start the car up and drive!!:nervous:
