nah i got the a20a4, but i think my accord is imported from japan, got all the jspec bits on it, such as lights n all, and the trim is a bit diff from the aussie accordsQuote:

i might have to take my rear calipers apart....cuz you can hear one draging...like the piston is not retracting....
yeah, thats what happened to mine. the bore and piston were rusted badly. i really dont much mind new calipers though. i had recently done the fronts and had a great improvement after that. i also need a master cylinder to match the disks, but will use mine. i think the other one has a bit more volume for the all disks. i'm going to see how it works until i get another master cylinder though. should be able to start on it tomorrow. probably wont though till next week. maybe if i get up early enough i can get around to it.
well still waiting on the delivery of the right side caliper, left side is in stock. hope to get this started and finished tonight. but if i know UPS, they are going to take their sweet time getting it here early enough.
if this project hasnt taken long enough, i am now ordering new inner and outter brake hoses. i'd rather not have to worry about the old ones doing what my front ones already did. so new hoses. got the calipers today, have them assembled on the brakets. still need to turn the rotors. i need to buy the brake pads which are in stock. so basicly whats holding me back are the brake hoses. this is ending up to be more of an expensive project than i was thinking. but i guess i shouldnt have expected everything to be perfect and fall into place to my convenience. so 2 more days and i should have what i need. and i still need the larger master cylinder, but am going to see what it does with the one on my car. i wont have trouble finding a master cylinder if need be.

yeah, for sure. i'm really glad the rubber bushings and ball joints are in great shape on the new rear pieces. looks like it going to take me around 2-4 hours, depending on how i'm working to get this stuff installed on the car. i've put the rear sway bar on and have the calipers ready to be put on without any bs. but really, if i think about it i dont think i could have done this cheaper on any other cars. but money is getting tight so thats why i'm bitchin about the money i'm spending. but more or less what you said, do it right and i'll be set to go with reliable parts. i'd rather put new parts on the brake system anyways since i've already done the front a while back. but yeah, i'm really into this little project and not losing interest in it. so thats a big +.
i have a set of rear pads....i wanted to get like 25 plus shipping they are like EBC red stuff pad.
^ thats a good deal man. i might put some green stuff ones on the front. that would make trail braking nice with these rear disks.
yeah they are brand new....cuz i compared them to my AEM pads and they were similar besides the color.
well here ya go. i've been trying to do this for as long as this thread has been alive. so today my brake lines came in. decided today was as good as any to do this, so here i have one side on. still working on the left side. hopefully i will not have any more problems. but i just wont count on that. anyways, i'll be back to work.

-sigh- i remember doing that...took me like 3 hours to take off the old crap and put them on with new SS lines new rotors and pads
yeah, i plan to upgrade the rotors, lines and pads a little later. but thats what i have for now. yet another project near completion.
well, i did finish it up. stopped pretty good after a few times. i think the rear pads need to wear in some because i sanded the rotors since i wont be able to get them turned until tuesday. they had some rust. anyways, looks like everything has worked out as far as the brakes. my transmission on the other hand finally crapped out as i was driving it home from my friends that wanted to check the rear disks out. so looks like tomorrow i will look for a transmission. i'm almost thinking i should go ahead and do a 5 speed swap. i think i can find someone to buy some of the parts off the auto from me. a little extra cash wouldnt hurt. anyways, another successful SE-i rear disk swap. kind of a bitch how the transmission goes out and i have disk brakes. cant win every time. i should have taken a little more time on the pictures, i usually take much better ones. more to come of course, i'm not through with these brakes yet.

Looks great dude, I bet you are satisfied now that's all done.
well with the brakes anyway. now i need a transmission. i might try some thicker fluid in it for now to see if i can get it going. its worth a shot, either way it needs to be replaced. i found one for $200, has 177000 miles on it which is the lowest one i've looked at in a while.
so imagine the rusted parts on the rotors black and the calipers and brakets red.

well my car isnt driveable due to the busted transmission. so i decided to get the brakes painted. still need to finish them and do some touch ups. but they looks pretty good. they definately stand out. thats a red color if your monitor is making it look orange.

finished product. got the rears done. really took my time and they came out really good. tomorrow the fronts and transmission comes out.

so i'm liking these brakes pretty good. so far all i have done is swap the rear knuckle with the disks and put new brakes hoses. i havent put a new master cylinder or proportioning valve on, but the brakes feel solid and stop well. i may put a different master cylinder and prop. valve in later on though. i dunno which master cylinder to go with though, 5/16" or 7/8"?
