Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
It would be nice to get away from reality again for awhile, and just bullshit about cars and such like old times.
I still have my 3g, however, it might be going tomorrow (a guy is comming to look at it since it is for sale), but if i doesnt go im going to hang onto it for awhile until i can get the truck i have up and running.
Lets all plan a meet for sometime realitivly soon!
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Oh ya, I still got the prelude. I think I'm just gonna hang onto that for a while... I love that car. There's just something there that no other car could ever leave me.
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
I'm game for a meet, too. However, since I'm having problems out the wazoo(I hate carbs...), I may be rocking the boosted Celica, but I don't think that'd be a problem. However, since I've started school, my time's a little limited. I should be able to make a weekend meet just fine, and possibly a weekday one if I'm given a little advance notice.

Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
We can do a car work meeting, I'm about to get a parts car to do my EFI swamp. Anybody wants to help? and if you need something that I wont use you guys may be able to have it.
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Hey Feuerstoss, if you're having problems with your carburetor I'm starting my efi swamp so after I get it done I will have a perfect working carb without home. Just p.m. me if that may interest you.

Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Hey how does a Labor day meet sound to everyone? I think we have plenty of time to plan for one now.
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Labor Day is September 4th. Either way I have Mondays off, so I could probably plan for it! I'd love to see your hatch bullard!
I won't be able to drive my new beat up 86 Accord then though, unless I want to start insurance on it. For now I'm driving my brown stock 91 Prelude Si. By then I might have new axles put in, and Falken Azenis on all four [stock alloy] wheels.
Who knows, I might even have my power steering working again! (Only time will tell...)
The Accord isn't much to see anyways, it's completely stock and has big patches of rust here and there. Dented fender, broken sidemarkers, reminants of tint glue from tint being pulled off, the whole car is MASSIVELY dusty inside and out, and the list goes on. Got it pretty cheap imo though.
Hehe, racerx, still have the lude eh? That's good... I couldn't seem to part with mine either. I shouldn't have tried to get yours... in the process of getting the loan, I hit a curb (strong gust of wind + loose snow + turn + road slanting sideways = hello curb) and messed up a rim. I was almost stuck there, but had snow chains in the trunk. The car feels much better after an alignment though. Also, the loan is still impacting me financially, but hopefully will add good things to my credit history. I coulda bought a parts car with 4WS easily with the money the loan is costing me... heh, but oh well, it was a worthwhile experience.
I wish I coulda driven the white lude though, too bad it was so icey out that day.

Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Hm... Monday, the 4th? I shouldn't have school then, so I think there's a pretty good chance I could attend. However, my high idle probs with my LX are getting pretty bad, and the brakes are getting kinda bad as well... I've been driving the Celica quite a bit in the interim, and might have to show up with that. Erk.

Thats ok, IF i go ill be going in my civic, which now has new axles... which means its been dumped, bwahaha..

Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Yeah.. both the cars are having issues now. The Celica actually spat a GD spark plug when under boost today... thankfuly the threads in the head miraculously don't seem to be damaged. Heh... I still want to start chatting up some of you more knowledgable 3Geez guys... because selling this turbo AWD beast and building a B20 for my LX is starting to look kinda tempting... I may end up regretting that, or maybe not... who knows? :dunno:
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
I say go with the B2o. I might be calling 89accordturboed to have him turbo my B2oa.
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Yeah... I'm still a little at a loss. I really frickin' like this Celica... I mean, low-15s as it is, boosted AWD, great power. However, you guys would freak if I told you how much money's in this car total, and it still needs a good amount done.
I'm not a huge power fiend, but I do want my LX to be around the same highway performer as the Celica(I can pass anything not actively trying to race me without downshifting), with all the comfort options(I still want A/C, PS, and CC), and most importantly handles well. I like a car that can take coners well. That obviously means new wheels/tires/etc, but 'ell, those'll come.
The big plus of my LX is that I'm not fixing crap that was not done to the car in the first place. I'm the second owner and the original owner maintained it immaculately. The sucker's smooth... just slow. Heh. Just got a lot of thinking to do about this one.

Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
lol, i'm so glad i'm not having car trouble anymore... There are some advantages to owning a newer vehicle... and it having less miles.
i might be up for a meet...
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
Feuerstoss, it sounds like you would regret selling the celica, so I would suggest u keep it...
What I would probably do, is drive the Accord as a daily, and garage your celica and fix it up slowly over time.
You'll get used to the 3gee and then when it's time to start driving the celica, you'll have forgotten how much more power it has.
Then you'll have AWD, speed, and reliability, when the time comes.

I'll probably be moving to Aurora in November... so I'll probably see you at a meet or something. I hope to have my Accord on the road then or soon after, although it's not much to see.

Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
we should all definatly try to get a meet going sometime soon. Maybe high school drags september 4th?
Anybody down for meetin up?
-
Re: Official Colorado Meet!!!
I should be able to. Lately I've been doing a lot of car work... and I'm getting some more parts in soon. Mostly for my Accord... but I'd be bringing my Prelude. It's not as "cool" as the black one I drove before, but it's in better shape.
In fact, I recently replaced one of the axles (long story to that) and I fixed my power steering problem, next thing I will do is put on the new front tires and replace the brake pads and brake lines (oem).
It's in great shape for having 190,000 miles on it.
What is this "high school drags" you speak of?
