i reckon!
right i got off my ass and took this car through for a warrant of fitness check yesterday. here's the sheet
http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/v...heet432011.jpg
failed on:
LF brake line
Missing Split pins in low ball joints
secure brake lines (not bolted to the back of the shock)
low brake fluid.
funny how its all pretty much brake related, This morning i put a brand new brake line i had in my spare parts box for 2 years on, bled the brakes, then drove it to work, put it up on the hoist, replaced the split pins in the ball joints, then i bled the brakes topped up the fluid and took it for a recheck. passed
This car is now road worthy for the next 6 months
yay sounds easy. is it warranted yet?
did you read, of course its waranted. ill reg rego on monday maybe. this is what i did this afternoon, truck horn, 2 X air horn eletric pumps and fited it with siome relays into the accord. it aint that loud but it works :)

nope i just looked at the warrant sheet pic :D
Aaron, you never sease to amaze me.. This was my idea for a long time, imagine all you can do with it...
ben my idea for ages also i bought the horn like 5 years or so ago haha. wish it was louder tho
right i finally got these in the mail for my bilsteins!
http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF2934.jpg
so today i installed them, the bilsteins have been in the car but i had some rear civic spring seats siting on the brake line brackets because the person i got the shocks from did not send me the seats.
heres some pics of the install.

http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF2941.jpg
only problem is the car is a bit higher now.
http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF2942.jpg
sometime in the next few weeks ill pull them out again and take them into the shop and get some circlip grooves machined lower on the shocks. i think ill be able to go another 2 inches lower!
The height is not to bad. Shocks look a lot cleaner and safer this way.
Like your car, evenmore without the blinds on the read window.
So much more legit then that last perch haha.
Good job.
yeah the car handles better too with the proper spring seats there. after its been lowered to where i want it ill get a wheel alignment done and maybe some new tyres. i want to go from 205-40-17's to 215-45-17s as the 205's are a bit hard and the car feels all twitchy, also the bigger 215's will probably correct my speedo as i have to do like 107km/h to actually hit 100k
right chaps, engine rebuild is going to happen AND im going to do it myself. YAY
but im going to cheap out on a few things:
Im only going to plain the head and replace the stem seals and do a valve grind, not rebuilt the whole head like i was going to. the motor i got the head from was mint as so new stem seals should do it.
im not going to do the arp rod and head studs this time, stock rod bolts and New OEM head studs will be used.
Whats in your hot water cylinder cupboard?!?!?!

Sweet man. Just saw your Bilstein setup. Looks good. Bilsteins FTW!
Can't wait to see progress on that B20A assembly!
Great work aaron. I likey
currently waiting on a mate to try and get me a hook up on getting the piston rings fitted and gapped and the head plained
Looking Good! :D
I want this car,its looks great.
B20A is dropped off to a guy and hes going to plain the head gap the rings and put them on the pistons for me, when ti comes back ill buy a head gasket and assemble it
pics when hes done
if its a good ring set, you shouldnt need to touch the rings to gap them.
i've rebuilt a dozen or so motors and the ring gap has always been spot on.
if its running standard size bore, standard size rings should be spot on and so on for O/S bores.
especially in this day and age of decent machining and manufacturing
yeah they should be sweet. b16 pistons and oem b16 rings in a b20 motor
about time something happens with that motor. how many years has it been now?
i have all my b20a parts back, this weekend im putting it together (Y)
well lookey what we have here
