Figure I will throw my update on this whored up thread too.

Got my car lowered again, still need to get it tuned right, it runs WAY goofy right now. Also need different lug nuts. The ones I have don't seat properly with the rims I am using, and after < 50 miles of driving were much looser than they should have been (after being carefully torqued to 85 ft lbs like always).

So I need:
- tune
- alignment
- new lug nuts

And I will be in much better shape.

engine checks out, runs a bit lean on the current map. the clutch sems to be working but the transmission stacks arent engageing well so Ill be yanking my 5 speed tomorrow. Looks like Ill be super tired at the meet from working on this car 20 hrs a day to get it ready. Oh man I pumped and stressed its great almost like crank!!

So who all is driving to Portland with a sketchy tune? I know I am.

It will just depend on how close I can get the tune to a reasonable AFR at a 60mph cruise or so. And I will need SOME other parts of the map happy too, like WOT, and idle. But the ride height, and alignment should be doable. Hopefully I can get my stepdad to pick up some 'racing' lug nuts from Portland if I can't find any locally. :D

When's the next run? We should make a run down to NorCal or something. Be cool to start with 2-3 and pick up a couple on the way. It would look pretty sweet.

I'll probably be done in a month and shining in 2.

so the question becomes, as those of us with modded engines hop onto the dyno can we make as much power as untunes, unmolested a20a3? Im running lean right now so it may work out in my favor if I can test it at speeds to not be detrimental to the engine itself.

Bbq was going to be like $5 anyway, so it's mostly a wash for cost.

Chris should meet up with us somewhere near the freeway (assuming he wants to caravan as well) like the Three Rivers Mall in Kelso, so the caravan doesn't have to try to cram down his little road and cram up traffic down there. I can just call when I'm about 10 minutes from Kelso.

Ive got the dyno pull with wideband to see how poorly Im really running another $40

The weather looks a bit questionable for saturday. Hopefully not bad enough to cancel drags, but who knows.

There's indoor karting just south of pdx, but that costs money. Weekend prices are like $20/race, I think, though I might be able to hook up a group rate (though no guarantees).

well guys the b20a will not be making it for sure. Just took it out for a test drive. the diffrential is grinding like mad. I pulled the atarter and it didnt fix the issue. i need to pull the speedo drive unit but that where the sound is coming from. It drings forwards or reverse clutch in or out doesnt matter. I think i got mysklef a tits up diffeential. ill see about bringing the white hatch but its just a work car so it wouldnt be anything other than a car to commute. Its nithing nice or fancy. Thats if I make it at all

That really BLOWS...i really wanted to see it..you cant swap out the diff. i hear the b16 ones fit like nothing....idk if you have a buddy around with that...

I'm down for end of Summer. Friday nights are "Street drags" (bracket racing) at the drag strip. Anyone who can comply to simple rules (no leaks, no cracks in the tires or windshield, a battery hold-down, and a coolant reservoir) can play for $25 for the whole night.

Or if you guys want to meet up somewhere more south, I'll go as far as Sac town, but I don't want to install an alarm before I go, if you know what I mean...
