much better...
Very Nice!!:)
thank you. did you guys notice that in some of the pics the CF hood almost looks the same color as the rest of the car?
looks wicked
you have a CF hood on there? i thought you took it off and had a normal hood put on....
could've fooled me
props dude! Now it's time for a turbo eh?
i say do some red/black tails like juans, the orange is killing me
yeah i do have a CF hood. the only thing is that it has a couple problems with the previous clear coat so when i got the car painted i asked the guy to sand it and put another coat on there. you can see its CF in person but in these pics, because of the light you see more of a reflection because of the clear coat.
and yeah the next step is turbo. i just have to find one and start getting the parts first. :D
actually i was thinking of tinting the tail lights but i also thought about the red tails. i have to give it some thought. first. probably going to photoshop a few pics before i decide. im also already looking for some jdm turn signals.
im in the process guys...ive only had the car for 6 mos. :D
Yeah it looks so sexy,i dont know why you want to get rid of the hood i think it shines fine.Quote:

Long thread, just looked at your paint job. Looks sweet. What that run ya if I can ask?
Looks like AOM material.
hell yeah its a long thread. lol
oh and my car was not blue it was monterey green. anyway..matt i dont want to get rid of the hood, i want a new one. unfortunatly this is a grade B hood. it started to develop, what i call, cancer. some parts of the hood look very cloudy and opaque. i tried to sand it myself and i also asked the painter to do it. finaly i said fuck it just clear coat the fucker. he did and the hood actually looks pretty good compared to what it used to look like. im still goint to buy a new one though, not only because of that but because this hood has been around and the holes drilled by the previous owners to mount the grille and the actual hinges are starting to give out. i had to drill new holes to mount it this time. and im pretty sure once i get the new grille, ill have to drill new ones there too. oh well its a project.
anyone want it after i get the other one??? lol
edit: shit i didnt even answer your question ddude2uc, the paint job is supposed to be a 1600 dollar one, but since the painter is actually a friend of my boss's (he painted his chevelle back in the 80's and i think a mustang in the early 90's, plus a camaro and another mustang a couple months ago) he did it for 850. but i had to strip my car of the moldings and other pieces. he still overlooked a couple of dents here and there but like i mentioned above (somewhere) he's going to fix it after the paint "cures". and thanks for the AOM comment, i could only hope
hook me up with that hood
OMG dude that looks hella sweet dude!!!
oh and i think that hood looks great, looks good with the new paint
Car looks great... I really like the colour a lot, and the wheels set it off nicely too.
those wheels are very nice. I like them a lot! Car looks sweet man.
yep those whells are going to go on my car next :D
Dude I cant wait to see it with the new rims! AOM here she comes!! Oh and are you going to put the grill back on the hood? That's the only missing piece that I see.
yeah im going to put it back on. i just have to go buy another one, repaint it...and drill new holes for it because the other one broke.
