i took it for a wof today, failed on:

both front upper ball joints
both front lower ball joints
broken engine mount
9001 exhaust leaks
fog lights not working

yay for it not being anything major

don't see why all the ball joints failed though, i only had 1 ball joint with play in it :huh:

well it's a good piece of mind to know if your car is safe for the road, and since mine has faulty vital suspension components (which i would not have known!) i can replace them :)

so far ive replaced 2 upper ball joints, the exhaust & fixed the fog lights, just need to do lower ball joints & engine mount now. typical me leaving the gayest jobs till last

should have a wof tomorrow yay

and the good thing about a nice high car is you dont have to jack them up to remove the upper control arms lol

i'll go back tomorrow and see if it will pass even though i havent done the lower ball joints, i feel no play at all :S i installed a couple new split pins to make it look like i done some work anyway

hondas,having wishbone front ends need to be jacked under the lca to take the spring tension off the ball joints.
do that and see what you find

geterdone, have a safe car
you can very carefully drill a hole to insert a zert fitting in those balljoints. That will tighten em up some unless they are really wallered.
What was that on the pipe? muffler butter?

thank you, ive been driving this car everyday since lol, took it for its first trip the other day & everything worked mint, only had 1 problem though & that was the right mirror didnt fold when i locked the car, after jiggling some wires around its working mint again. all it needs now is air con :) also today my $300 honda had to rescue a $11000 mazda in the middle of town that failed. yay for honda

There must be a million air cond's floating around on here, everyone rips them out coz it slows them down.... luckily mine came without :D

well i've got all the parts, just needa gas it up. i onestly have no idea how much that costs.

anyway today iwent to the car and noticed the carpet on the passenger side was full of water :wtf: it's been raining all day, fair nuff, but i cant find where the water came from. there's no leaks around the windscreen, nothing around the doors, and when i poured 3 buckets of water over the car, not a single drop went inside. so i pulled some of the carpet out, and everywhere around the passenger area was completely dry, the rear carpet is dry too. and all the seats are dry as well, so the water couldnt have came through the side or top, only other place it could of came fromk is the bottom, but i dont see how as all the drain plugs are still intact. and the car has been in worse rain last week and stayed completely dry inside. i'm quite lost here :S anyway i have the dehumidifer in there drying out what rags couldnt soak up lol

yeah no sunroof. it was pissing down today & theres no water in the car so dunno what the problem was then but it hasnt done it again. oh yeah i'm also winrar

tis sad to have no sunroof but cuts one more leak point out

i hate rustroofs. Honda really fucked up when designing that part of the car

just gota keep the drains clear

still a mystery why the car was smoking & why it leaked inside. hasnt done either since so its all good lol.

i pulled the rear bumper off to check for rust, and to my surprise yay there is none :)

yeah i reckon. but i'll still get it fixed before it starts to affect how my boot closes lol

have you checked under the rear windscreen trim.
my boot leaked and couldnt see a hole till i pulled that off.
