Rendon Lx-I Boosted Sedan Build

Well today i got my A20A1 block and head...blown headgasket thats what my buddy told me so i took the valve cover off and the plugs looks good so idk...going ot tear it apart this week....IM PUMPED....aiming for 300hp with this build....take a bit to build her but thats my goal

Well Looking ot put

Eagle h-beam rod
W/E pistons dont know yet with .20 over
bisi head as in valve springs,, stage 3 cam 5 angle job...
king bearings
toga oil pump

Well my goal is to have it done by the end of next year

yes...thats alll im using...its holding up fine...im running a bit rich which is okay..going to get it tuned for 100 and shell be fine...as it is she pushing around 200 i think well see when i hit the dynojet in portland. when the meet comes...Not a bad setup but i would like to get my obd1 convo soon...but not in a rush...

Well took the head to my work and used the sovent tank to take off all the build up...everything looks legit...There some scoring on the lobs of the cam but, im going get stage 3 bisi or delta...but i post pics of the head and pistons....looks good

As far is head work and block...i called my mechine shop here...got one heck of a deal...to hot tank and valve job is 225 and to bore i dont know yet since i dont know what type of pistons im getting...im leaning towards JE..

Yay! New Motor! Get her rebuilt and in that car! I want to ride in it when it's pushing 300hp k?

lol make sure to get 86 retainers+seats when u do the bisi springs!

Thanks god my head already is a 86 a3 lol...:lol: but i just use this head and get the bisi springs and get the retrainers for sure


UPDATE lol got the motor on the stand i was given for free...i cant bitch its ugly but better then workign on the floor. was for a 454 big block so i had two drill some holes no biggie...so i see why she had some problems in the future going to have to brighten up her future HEHE:naughty:

Looks like a good engine, ready for rebuild! Half of the engine in my 81 is from parts that were sitting in the woods for a few years. Amazing what cleaning and machine work can do!

Thats crazy. Im just gald to start working on it...i mean im going to try to have it done with in a year but well see.

Free engine stand = free engine stand + not having to fuck with it on the floor.

LOL HELL YA...i had it on a tire bro and fuck that my back didnt like that or my knees..

I didn't use an engine stand this weekend doing the swap and my back is killing me!

I had this car for along time and you been around when i first started. wasnt in the greatest shape...LMAO..i remember when i painted my interior yellow and big 5inch tach LOL...i was full of rice in those days..i builded this this car from the ground up. all the sweat and tears and fuck,,,,fuck LOL. When you guys tell me that its a awesome car. I feel it cuz i worked so hard to put this car together. More to come thats for sure. I miss your red hatch thou man...that was a master piece. ONE day ill get accord of the month lol
