Closest Thing To V6 3gee!

well i know people have claimed to have a stock V6 3gee, but unfortuatly thats not too much true. well i thought this would be cool for yall to see. its not exactly a 3gee accord. its realy more of a 1st gen legend. but its got a V6 and realy looks like a 3gee accord!

this thing is the '85 honda legend. its got a 2.5 litre V6. not too shur on the hp cuz i didnt looks yet. but u can realy see accord lines in it. think so? those first pix realy look like it. but if u do looks closely u can see its a tad bit longer.

OMG on ebay aroudn 3 months ago this lady claims it was a v6 accord 3 gee 89, i was like wtf??? and she put v-6 like 5 times...............................???

people that have a 3 gee that know nothing about the car will say its a V6 because it can be mistakin for V6 well i know that mine can beat some V6s and keep up with other stronger ones

yeah, when i first started driving at about 12, i thought my 3gee was a V6. that was before i realy knew everything about it. i gotta say everyone that rides im my car is surprised that it only has about 100hp. probley about 85 to the wheel? neway i thought that legend looked similar to a 3gee.

ok to set this straight I know that he is talking about me. That Honda Legend comes with a c20v6turbo in it stock. I was going to get tha engine in my car until I found out that I would have to put a Legend tranny and then I found out that it is going to be hard to find the ECU for that engine if not imposible. That is why I have the c20v6turbo3rdgen name cause it was going to go into my car until I found out the bad news on it HondaBoy by the way from what I have seen (pics) that engine is 240 stock YEAH!!! I am still trying to get my hands on the ECU for it...It is the only stock engine for Honda that is turbo from my knowledge that the Turbo is from Honda.

it is a legent. it is not 3g. you can see it is too big to be 3g.

Not those ones. Not even the newer ones have 240. The most that they come with stock is 230 I think, that is in the newer model, with the type II motor. Like the GS.

i know the honda City and That's have had turbo engines. the City was in the early to mid 80s and the That's is still in production as of now. i dont think any of the legends came with turbo engines. maybe if someone did a custom turbo for it but thats the closest i can think of. and they also had turbo bikes. honda has other models with turbo engines but not in the US unfortuatly. and maybe the honda Beat. or maybe it was custom too. and as for those legend pix i posted, i already knew its not a 3gee, but only the same type of design. u can kinda see that they were "similar", but most definatly not the same car. hope that clears up some misunderstandings if there are any.

ok c20v6turbo3rdgen, i havent been able to find 1 legend, be it honda or an acrua, with that engine u said had a turbo. now if u say its the c20 V6 turbo, the 20, in C20 indicats its only a 2 litre engine. especially when its a honda engine, they numbers after the letter is how many litres it has. the smallest "C" series engine i can find was a 2.7 litre. im gonna try finding this V6 turbo.

yep hondaboy is right. THe engine is a C27 non turbo but yeah, there was a stock V6 turbo in Japan. on the same note, THe C27 found on the legends (USDM) have just 160.

yeah, the honda production turbo cars surprise most of us cuz we hardly ever get our hands on em unless we live in Asia. they have made a number of em. so my question is, why the hell dont they send us something with a turbo. if they had the new civics with stock turbos, they would sell even better than they do now. and the same with the TSX acura aka. Euro accord. either that or they should have aftermarket honda performance that comes with a nice warrenty. that would probley cost a lot though.

There's alot going on that most of us don't know or don't care to know. Customer demographics, all the different stats, will the car sell, should we detune instead for better sales to older folks, blah blah. They don't take the risk to import a car that won't really sell. Most ppl buy hondas not for their performance (nsx excluded). IMHO :D

somewhere on here is a picture of a three g with a v6 installed in it. it's not factory but pretty cool. anybody know where it is? it fits very well. I shoehorned a legend v6 in an 81 civic hatch once, the project from hell,all the metal on the front had to be reworked. it was just way too dangerous. the suspension just wasn't good enough for the power plant. lost a good friend over that project,also an ex wife and a ton of money. never again. :thumbdn:

yeah i'd have to agree.. on 3geez i prefer sedans but 1g legends the coupes look better

my neighbor has a white sedan.. it's pretty clean i always check it out when it's parked on the street. Saw a sweet two tone (white/silver) one last night at the grocery store.
