Full clear corners, who's interested?

Alright guys I was playing around with some of my old plexi-glass and some corner lights. And well I am going to start making these for members on this site now. I used a piece of scrap plexiglass and its a little too short on one corner so I cant use it.

I don't have any done yet... but I want to know the interest that people have.

What I was thinking is, I could offer to paint the inside of the corner light black, white, silver, or any color you want. I have to paint it some color but I would suggest having it painted to either match your car or to have it contrast your car.

Example of matching: Bloodlust's car is white and a white housing would kick a$$ on his car.


Example of contrasting: My car is Seattle Silver and I kind of have black and seattle silver theme going on so black would look the best.


Note: I suggest putting colored bulbs in them so you don't have to worry about getting hassled by the cops.

As soon as I get a set done I will post pics. I need to get more plexi-glass so it will be a few days. I just want to know what kind of interest there is if I made these. Prices can vary depending on what type of paint you want and so on. And people that buy them will need to send their corners to me after they get the new ones. How I will do this is charge a core charge and then give the money back when I get the cores. The cores cannot have the housing damaged though. The lense can be cracked but the housing can't be damaged.

Dude...Mike, I appreciate and respect you ingenuity and constant feats of creating and keeping the good ol' accord up to snub. It is an inspiration to see one taking his free time to improve on the visual aspect of our cars, knowing it can be challenging at times. Keep up the good work and cranking out ideas and such! :)

I am surely interested as my wife did some damage to my corners somehow and does not remember???

So your making this for what mike? for 86 accord since 88-89 already have clear lenses. let me know brother. lol

id be interested if u could make matching eyelids and grill, but i guess i would have to see pics, cuz to me a clear corner would look out of place with the color that the eyelids and grill are.

lol. Yeah, I think you are mistaken dude, 88-89 DO NOT have clear corners. Alot of the guys on the board made clear TURN signals, but those were handmade aftermarket accesories. Good idea. Though I would imagine that full clear plexi glass eyelids might look a little dumb, since you would be able to see the metal on the other side of the eyelids. Props though, you never know until you see it done :D.

Holy crap wow, I guess I will get off my ass and go and buy some plexi-glass so I can get a set done.

The 88-89 lights aren't clear though. They're transparent but they are still smoked.

Doing the eyelids would be a no no since you would see the ugly metal and the little holes and stuff. I wish I could do CF b/c I would make the eyelids and stuff.

I will make a full clear lense for my car with a black housing. And take a ton of pics once they are done. I didn't expect that there would be this big of a response already. But that's good.
