Did you ever figure out that continuous puff of smoke that looked like a tea pot that was coming out of the one spark plug?

Not to bad, it idles kinda high and the throttle sticks. Has a leaky exhaust. Not bad for 300 bux though. I'm happy with my purchase.
haha... welcome to the carb world. Adjust the stop throttle screw and give it some carb cleaner. I thought you liked the sound of leaky exhaust ;) ... and yeah, how's your manual driving?
I'm taking it down to steves this weekend to give it a tuning. My manual driving? It's getting there. Let's just say I didn't back into anybody's van yet :lol: Don't feel to bad about it, turns out the timing belt snapped and the van was trashed anyway :cool:Quote:

Since your replacing the crank, you should replace the connecting rod bearing insirts & crankshaft bearing inserts. Make sure you don't mix up any of the rod caps or crankshaft bearing caps. Check the thrust bearing or washer to limit crankshaft end play. Turn the crank after installation to make sure there is no binding. If you have a nice STRAIGHT piece of solid flat metal, check the main bearing bore alignment on the block before installing the crank.(that will give you an idea if the block has been overheating and warped & if your crank is going to wear bearings prematurely if it is out of alignment) Of coarse, since you've tore down the engine that far, replace the timing belt and clutch/ re-surface the flywheel !
